Description
*No AC* Lake access is precarious - see photos. Our octagon house is on charming, sandy, and clean Ham Lake. Here you'll find a dining room with a seat for each member of your group, a quaint kitchen, a wide and flat yard perfect for lawn games overlooking the lake, and, of course, a sunken living room. Fish off the end of the dock, kayak around the lake, walk through the woods, or hop in the car to find biking trails, restaurants, and more! The space Our favorite things to do at the cabin: stargazing, swimming, fishing, going for long walks, kayaking, roasting marshmallows outside, cozying up in front of the fireplace, taking naps, reading books, playing cards, birdwatching, doing puzzles, playing kubb and horseshoes in the yard, sledding down the hill, building snow forts, foraging in the woods, cooking delicious meals, staying up late, getting up early to watch the sunrise, and playing board games with friends. Summer fun: hammocks, lawn games, two single kayaks. Winter fun: two kicksleds. We provide pillows, bed sheets, blankets, and comforters as well as kitchen towels, rags for cleaning, bath towels, and hand towels for the bathrooms. We also have some beach towels available for you to use. No need to take your garbage and recycling with you or clean the house before you check out. Please make sure the kitchen is tidied and dishes are washed. Should you choose to strip the beds, feel free to start a load of wash on your way out. Otherwise, place used linens in the bathtub. Our well water has recently been tested and passed with flying colors (but doesn't taste great so we have a countertop filter), and we'll provide food storage containers for you to use. Other things to note Want access to the glamping tent for sleep or play (available Memorial Day - Labor Day)? Let us know and we'll set it up for you. $50/stay. We have sheets for the Nugget play couch if you'd like to use it for kid sleep. The house does not have air conditioning! The retaining wall next to the shoreline has fallen down. Mosquitos, ticks, and poison ivy are on the property but if you stick to the yard, you'll be able to avoid them - except for the mosquitos, they're everywhere!
