Century Log Cottage - Beachfront on Lake Bernard

This is a century log cottage, located on a sandy beach on the north shore of Lake Bernard. The cottage combines the rustic charm of yesteryear with the conveniences of modern day living. The space This cottage provides the quintessential Canadian cottaging experience. The original log cabin is complemented with a recent addition to provide the perfect blend of rustic and modern. In the summer months, a large sandy beach and shallow entry waterfront provide unlimited warm weather recreation. In autumn, the cooler weather brings amazing fall colours. In the winter, the area is known for snowmobiling, ice fishing and cross-country skiing. Inside, relax by the wood burning fireplace and enjoy the spectacular lake front views. **Note that this is a multi-generation family cottage, and we expect guests to respect both the property and the surrounding community. Unless otherwise stated, guests must leave the property in the same condition as it was found upon arrival (both inside and outside). Guest access Guests have full access to the main cottage, along with the lakeside shed (which has various beach toys), and the woodshed. Guests are not permitted access to the bunkie or the other storage sheds. A canoe, paddles and a paddleboat are available for guest use, along with 4 adult lifejackets. Guests are responsible for providing children's life jackets and following all boating and water safety regulations. The tv comes with an "Amazon Firestick", but guests will need to use their own Amazon account, along with their own Netflix account (or other streaming account). Alternately, a laptop can be plugged into the tv's HDMI port (HDMI cable not provided). Various board and card games are provided. Firewood is provided. Barbeque propane is provided. Wifi is available. There is no landline telephone, but cell reception is generally good. The cottage is on a drilled well and water quality cannot be guaranteed. As such, we strongly advise that guests provide their own drinking water. All linens are provided. Guests will be provided with a limited amount of basic supplies (dish soap, toilet paper, paper towel, facial tissue, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, cleaning products). Guests are responsible for the purchase of additional supplies should the initial supply be used up.
