Jack at Villager- Pool, Resort Dock
Our third house we chose to add to Lake Vista Properties. Jack is one of two side by side cottages located in the old tourist spot in Burnside KY known as Villager Resort. This space was in desperate need of a makeover! With the beautiful Lake Cumberland right at your fingertips, private dock access, and a coin operated tram that can take you and all of your belongings down to the dock, we wanted to undergo a total remodel of the cottage. Plus, Burnside Marina is only 1.5 miles away! Jack, with a classic all American boy theme, is right next to Diane, in an eclectic bohemian theme, so they are perfect for hosting large groups, separate but together! Jack has an assortment of flea market finds scattered about the space. We focused the decor with the all American boy in mind regardless of the state the were from. A handmade farmhouse style table that can comfortably seat 6, or more, sets in the open space in front of some windows. Cedar accents are located in the bathroom which carries a great smell in a small space. There is a bunk room that houses a twin bunk and a twin over full bunk. The other bedroom has a king bed. There is also a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. For your personal convenience we chose to place a washer/dryer in the cottage for you to use. Obviously my husband loves this space, but so do my girls! The cottage is privately owned by us but housed in an HOA community. There is plenty of parking available as well as space to take a walk. The property also has a heated pool, tennis court, batting cages, picnic area, bagged ice for purchase on site, fishing and swimming is allowed off the dock, and a charcoal grill that is available to you during your stay. Be sure to bring your own recreational towels, lifejackets, fishing gear, floats ect. The entire cottage is yours as well as access to all common areas on the resort. Common areas include; pool, dock, picnic area, tennis court, and recreational game room. The pool is open by Memorial Day weekend and usually stays open until the end of September. The cottage is about 15 minutes from our home. If you need anything at all we can be there very quickly. But, if you don't need us, you won't see us. Burnside is a small sister city to Somerset. Somerset is growing by the day with plenty of things to entertain yourself with. If Lake Cumberland isn't enough, try visiting Cumberland Falls or Mammoth Cave. There are also plenty of hiking area in the Daniel Boone National Park. If you need any assistance planning your visit , just ask! All those who participate in the common area monthly fees payed into us are apart of Villager Resort on Lake Cumberland. There are multiple owners within the community. The road is a private road therefore there is not a lot of thru traffic. There is plenty of parking in front of the cottages/houses roadside. Lots of guests put there boat in the water and park their trailers in front of where they are staying. Guests or owners walk about the property to go to the pool, dock, tram, tennis court, game room, picnic area. Since traffic is slow, it’s also a great place to get in a morning or evening walk and ride bikes. Keep in mind Villager Resort on Lake Cumberland is owned and operated by us. We have our logo on all our cottages and properties which include all common areas. We do not have an office on site. The shed office you will see next to the picnic shelter is not us.
