The space The School House at Cross Keys Tucked into 1.9 partially wooded acres beside the historic Cross Keys Farm, The School House is one of the most unique stays in the Shenandoah Valley. Locals have called it “The School House” for generations thanks to its large red rectangular shape, visible from Cross Keys and Pleasant Valley Road as you approach through the countryside. Set at the edge of a 150-acre working You Pick Your Own Farm and Civil War battlefield, the property blends wide-open views, quiet woods, and mountain scenery into one unforgettable setting. Outdoor Living: As you arrive, follow the tree-lined, U-shaped driveway with plenty of parking, including a level area designed for easy access and EV charging using the GRIZZL-E Level 2 charger. Pathways guide you to a covered front porch, a stocked firepit with adirondack chairs, outdoor dining patio, gazebo, 6-person hot tub, charcoal grill. From nearly every outdoor space you’ll enjoy sweeping views of Massanutten and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Early risers are rewarded with glowing sunrises over the ridgeline, and spring showers often bring dramatic rainbows across the valley. Next door, Cross Keys Farm offers pick-your-own fruit and flowers and a farmstand stocked with fresh local produce.
