Fountain Place features 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, 2 half baths, a solarium, drawing room, living room, game room, dining room, kitchen, and large outdoor patio area equipped with a grill and fire pit. Guests have complete to access the 1st and 2nd floor. The basement and 3rd floor serve as private spaces. We will be on-call to ensure you have the best stay possible, but we will also be mindful of your privacy! Fountain Place is a short walk to Downtown Ithaca, which features a bustling restaurant and award-winning hand-crafted store scene, as well as several popular theaters. The property overlooks the Cascadilla Gorge trail, which when hiked leads to Cornell University. The area is home to America’s first wine trail, the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail, with wine tours for every taste. We pride ourselves on our knowledge of the area and are here to show you to the very best the Finger Lakes region has to offer. Fountain Place has on-site parking for multiple vehicles and is within walking distance of the best that Ithaca has to offer, from Cascadilla Gorge to Downtown Ithaca. For those who want to venture further, we have an excellent TCAT public transportation system, Uber, Lyft, and taxi service. There are also chauffeur services for wine tours. "Here at Fountain Place, we want to ensure that all of our guests understand that the Mansion was built in 1892 and the Carriage House a short time after that, so our heating and air conditioning systems may not meet everyone's modern-day expectations. However, that is part of their charm! The properties at times can be challenging and individual spaces may not heat and cool evenly throughout. The Mansion has both radiators and hot/cool air systems but does not have central air/heat; this allows guests to adjust the heat/cooling to their own comfort level without having to come to a consensus as a whole group! The Carriage House has only hot/cool air systems. Should you find that you are uncomfortable, please let us know; space heaters (during the cooler months) and portable air conditioners (during the hotter months) are available upon request."
