The Town of Lake Lure has announced an official target date to fully reopen the lake for the 2026 summer season, beginning May 1, 2026, and restoration efforts are actively underway with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers following Hurricane Helene in October 2024. Until then, the magic of Lake Lure extends far beyond the water. Cabin at White Oak Point is an iconic 1930s log cabin, fully renovated and set on its own private peninsula on Lake Lure with approximately 300 feet of shoreline. Lake access and usage may be limited during this time. Water levels are expected to return to normal by mid-to-late April. Need More Space? Payments If booked more than 30 days before arrival, 50% is due at booking and the remaining balance is due 14 days before check-in. If booked 14 days or fewer before arrival, full payment is due at booking. Airbnb Strict 60-Day Cancellation Policy Cancel 61+ days before check-in: 50% refund of the nightly rate + full cleaning fee (Airbnb service fee is non-refundable). Last-Minute Booking Verification For reservations made **within 7 days of arrival**, additional verification is required to protect our homeowners and guests.
