Not far at all! Niagara Falls is within a 20 minute drive- we highly recommend a trip to The Falls as well as The Maid of the Mist, Cave Of The Winds and walking across the border to Clifton Hill, Ontario (don't forget your passport!). Buffalo is around a 45 minute drive to the airport and around 60 minutes to the Buffalo Bills football stadium. What is supplied in the kitchen? The kitchen is fully equipped with plates, bowls, utensils, glassware, barware, pots, pans and much more for your cooking needs. Coffee, tea and your basic pantry essentials are all provided. There is a grill on the deck and a supplied propane tank. Is it suitable for children? Absolutely! With a toddler son of our own we know the joys of vacationing with kids (the good and bad!). A highchair is located in the laundry room to be used at your convenience as well as a set of kids cutlery and dinnerware. Please reach out if you are interested in any other child care amenities including a full sized crib (with mattress and sheets), pack and play, play dome, baby bath or baby gates (baby gates are modular and connect to make a play pen). If there is anything additional needed please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate any requests. *With all guests, but especially our little people, we want to emphasize the importance of avoiding the cliff and the dangers of going too close to the ledge. Please be vigilant while playing in the yard and by the water at all times. Are there any games or other activities at the house? You bet! We have an outdoor dartboard, a variety of board games (incuding our personal favorite, yahtzee!), cards, giant jenga, large connect four, corn hole, and more. For the adults we have a large bar with a 37-bottle wine fridge, mini fridge with freezer and cocktail kit. What about the TV/Movie situation? Great news, all of our TV’s are “Smart TV’s” which allows you to access Netflix, YouTube, Hulu or whichever networks you are subscribed to! Can we bring our dogs? Yes! We are proud owners of two rescue dogs ourselves, Tucker and Cash, and understand the desire to have your pups on vacation with you. Please mention that you would like to bring a pet with you before booking for our approval. All dogs must be leashed at all times while outside and cleaned up after in the yard immediately. Subsequent fees will be charged for any damage, excessive pet fur/additional cleaning or remaining pet waste. Please note that $100 pet fee is mandatory for each pet, max 2 dogs. *Please note: A video camera monitors the outside of the home * Guest access Guests have access to the entire property including the front, back and side yards. Guests are expected to be respectful of the neighboring properties and refrain from entering the other yards. There is a locked storage closet on the second floor that is not accessible for guests as well as the locked garage. We encourage guests to make themselves at home and try the short nature path walk at the end of the road that leads to the beach area. We are a lakefront property but do not have direct access to the water, and going down the embankment is prohibited. However, being on a quiet dead end street you are more than welcome to bring bikes or rollerblades to take up and down the street (please be mindful of any cars). Other things to note A Note About Lake Life 🌿 Being on the waterfront means you may notice a spider, cobweb, or the occasional bug visitor—it’s all part of lake living. The house is cleaned thoroughly between stays and receives monthly deep cleans. Plug-in bug catchers are provided (turn them on at night), and keeping doors/windows closed will also help.
