The space 2 miles off of Hwy 118, 20 min from Big Bend National Park entrance, unique Barndominium offers a feeling of being off grid with open space but has electricity, wonderful views and incredible night skies. Santa Elena Canyon can be seen from the backyard. Our WiFi is excellent, fast and dependable. If you have friends or family that travel in an RV, we provide a 30 amp RV hook-up with water/no sewage, at the west corner of the home for an additional $50 per night. We welcome them to join you. Guest access This Barndominum sits on 40 acres of beautiful desert landscape. Guests have access to a fabulous multi-purpose room complete with two roll up doors for views in every direction. There is a carport for keeping your vehicle cool and great to have in the rare event of a desert hail storm. We have a generator that switches on/off automatically in the event of a power outage. Other things to note Lock box with key are under carport. Look for the WELCOME sign under the key box. 2 private bedrooms. One with a queen bed, the other with a futon. The bedroom with the futon has a TV. There is also a queen couch bed and TV in the kitchen/living room area. We have a trundle bed with two single mattresses or you can lift the bottom mattress up to make a double bed with extra pad in the multi-purpose room area. Or use the pad on the couch hide-a-bed. We have a Queen size blow up mattress with an auto air filler for your use. There are 4 ceiling fans and 2 window a/c’s that keep temperatures cool in the heat of the desert. We have 4 portable electric heaters. There are two electric fireplaces in this home. They are cozy, romantic and warm. A gas BBQ for outdoor cooking gas grill is in the barn. We have a county approved wood fire pit for evenings around the fire. There is an automatic generator on property. If the power goes out, the generator automatically goes on and guest always have access to power and WiFi. We have 5G fiber optic WiFi.
