The Cottage at Grand Oaks Plantation

The Cottage on Grand Oaks Plantation is a hidden gem in the small town of Monticello, FL. Nestled under a canopy of 200 year old Live Oaks, you will enjoy relaxing as you watch the horses, ring-tailed lemurs, kangaroos... This restored plantation cottage housed guests in the early 1900's, and is now completely renovated with antique stained glass windows and doors, beadboard walls and a screened wrap around porch. Pool table and darts also. This cottage was featured in Country Living Magazine. The space Located on Grand Oaks Plantation, The Cottage is surrounded by Live Oak trees covered in Spanish Moss and Pecan Groves. A working horse farm with exotic animals. There is a pool table, darts and card table out on the deck, and a private space on the back side of the cottage with an outdoor shower and clawfoot tub. There is a Wheelchair ramp on the back side and is set up to be handicap accessible. This cottage was also featured in Country Living Magazine Guest access Guests are welcome to use the amenities at the cottage, as well as the firepit and outdoor kitchen area. Just make arrangements with us first :) We also have several kayaks for use and a 2mile walking trail around property. We also are horse friendly...so there is a separate pasture for use for an additional boarding charge if you bring your horses. Other things to note This is a secure, safe property with plenty of privacy. It is also necessary to note that it is a family environment, and we've found that it is better to lay out expectations up front. No parties or loud music allowed, and visitors must be approved by host and must leave the property by 7 p.m. Gate codes are required for entrance, and will be provided at booking.
