Our place is an easy 10 minute walk into downtown for all the wonderful restaurants, shopping, and other things that make Asheville so desirable. The South Slope is a 5-10 minute walk from here. The River Arts District is a 15 minute walk or short drive. The Biltmore Estate and West Asheville are a 5-10 minute drive. The space We are happy to provide a convenient alternative to the expensive downtown hotels while you're in Asheville. Our space is most ideal for those looking for a clean and comfortable place to rest at night after exploring all day, but likely too small for those looking to just relax and spend a fair amount of time at their accommodation. The room is most suited for a couple--no extra guests beyond a 2 person booking. Parking is often a challenge downtown, but you can street park here for free and save yourself the hassle. It's a safe and easy walk into downtown and the South Slope for all of the wonderful things our city has to offer. If walking doesn't interest you, it takes about 3 minutes to drive or uber into downtown from here. Asheville’s city permit to legally operate a homestay requires the tenant to be present while guests are occupying the rented room. We both work full time and also like to enjoy our city and surroundings when we aren’t working, so we will continue with our usual day to day activities during your stay. We do not charge an additional 'cleaning fee', because we have included that in our base price. Even before COVID-19, cleanliness and sanitation was and will always be very important to us. During your stay One of us is usually available if you need something during your stay. Keep in mind, we are sometimes out hiking without cell phone service, so we may not be able to get back to you right away. Other things to note Please be aware that even though you have your own private entrance, this room is still part of our home. The bedrooms are located within close proximity, so we ask that you are quiet when coming in late. Out of respect for us and our neighbors we prefer our guests to be back at a reasonable time (11-midnight). If this doesn't work for your plans in Asheville, you probably want to consider other accommodations. We want this opportunity to continue being positive for both our guests and ourselves. Thank you for understanding. We supply 1 cup of coffee/pod per person for each day that is reserved. If you drink more coffee than that, you will want to bring additional pods. It is a Senseo machine and the following brands of pods are compatible as well--Baronet, Italian Coffee, Melitta, Wolfgang Puck, and White Bear. We also have several local and wonderful coffee shops within walking distance or a quick drive.
