Adorable small Town Cottage walkable to coffee shops, restaurants, parks & the riverwalk…bring the pup and experience something sweet. Everything you need to get away, business trip or extended stay. Well appointed kitchen, 2 small but cute baths with heated floors(1) and fast WiFi. Urban-like walk-ability w/ small town charm! Walk to (excellent) authentic Himalayan food at the Cheel or a glass of wine at Glaze and paint a new coffee mug! Go out or kick back with the fire/grill and s’mores! This 1,200 sq ft cottage sits right in the center of the historic district, walkable to everything and oozes charm and character. The Town Cottage has 2 comfortable luxury queen beds and two single beds (stacked as bunk beds) and bedding, fast WiFi, a well appointed kitchen and a little courtyard area to grill out. The little bathroom on the first floor has a heated floor to keep your toes warm as you step out of the shower. The bedrooms all have smart TV’s, USB charging stations, top-of-the-line memory foam mattresses (ranging from soft to very firm) Beds are all made with down pillows and duvet covered down comforters but we also have alternative hypoallergenic bedding and pillow options as well. Booster chair, porta-crib and other baby items are available. Please note that although there is a baby gate for little people or pups, the stairs are narrow, very steep and have an open unprotected area at the top of the stairs to the right. To the left upstairs is a reading nook with a small laptop desk overlooking the parade of dog walkers heading to and from the Village Park by the river. The gabled second floor gives the larger upstairs bedroom true cottage character. The house has central air conditioning and there is a ceiling fans in the downstairs front bedroom. The driveway accommodates two cars. Enjoy this charming little English cottage with all the amenities! Guests will have the entire Town Cottage to themselves, including the patio and fireplace/grill, unfinished basement with laundry and driveway You will have the whole cottage and tiny yard to yourself. Park up to 2+ cars in the driveway. There is a short path (passed the patio area) up to the front door where you will find the front door key pad. We'll give you a key code within 24 hours of check in. Come in, find one of the classic games to play or just relax with your cup of tea or coffee. We are often only 5 minutes away if needed or are easily accessible by text, phone or through the app to answer any questions. Enjoy authentic Himalayan food at the Cheel two blocks around the corner (regularly rated one of the best restaurants in the Milwaukee area NOTE: They are rebuilding after the fire! Open October 2021 but the baaree-beer garden is open!), walk to Fiddleheads coffee roasters or Colectivo…or have lunch at Remmingtons overlooking the river. The Cottage is nestled in the Historic District on the same block as Village Park and the beautiful Milwaukee River. Pamper yourself next door at Tres Jolie Solace Spa and Salon. Enjoy the fireworks, farmers markets with locally grown goodies or a stroll on the Riverwalk near the cutest little street in the Mequon-Thiensville area! You can walk to anywhere you need to go in Thiensville, but if you're going to downtown Milwaukee, you will either need a car, an Uber or Lyft. If you are bringing your bike, we are just a couple blocks from the interurban trail. (Bike, walk or run from Milwaukee to Port Washington!) Or put your kayak or canoe in the river right here at the park. Thank you! There is a canine guest fee of $10 per night per dog. Let us know you have a dog and the fee will be charged separately through Airbnb at the end or after your stay. If your dog is allowed on the furniture at home or typically sleeps with you, we just ask that you please put a protective blanket over the white duvet covers before you let them up. (Blankets are at the foot of each bed) Kindly put a blanket on the leather couches for your dog as well. (They are in the livingroom basket) If you need to leave your dog alone in the house for a period of time, they must be crate trained (please bring your own crate) OR you can put the baby gate up at the bottom of the stairs and close all of the downstairs doors. That could suffice for them to stay alone downstairs for a short time as as well. (I’m sorry, but I have to charge you for any damage your dog causes to the house... scratching, chewing etc) Sorry, no kitties. Thanks for understanding!
