This charming 1948 cottage has original shake shingles and vintage character, but was fully renovated by a top-rated local builder for maximum efficiency and comfort. Guests may enjoy lake views from the deck or roast marshmallows over the patio fire pit. Inside offers an open concept living/dining area. The fully equipped kitchen has a fridge, microwave, and oven, plus a breakfast bar and dining table. The living room has a leather couch that pulls out for extra sleeping room, plus two side chairs. High speed wifi is available so you can stream your favorite channels on TV. The downstairs bath has a walk-in shower and is stocked with supplies and personal hygiene products for guest use. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed. The upstairs loft has 2 twin beds. Be aware that the loft is accessed by a steep staircase that’s more like a ladder. My grandkids love it, but it may not be safe for small children, older adults, or anyone with balance issues. The loft also has a sloped roof, so may not be ideal for tall guests. We love this lake house and hope you will too! Guests may use all cottage spaces except the locked basement, which stores our personal items. Also be aware that this cottage is part of a private boat club, so the lake access belongs to the boat club and is unfortunately off limits to guests. Public access is available on the other side of the lake, **PLEASE DO NOT WALK PAST OUR STEPS IN THE DIRECTION OF THE BOAT CLUB AREA. THAT AREA IS COMPLETELY OFF LIMITS TO NON OWNERS, AND YOU AND WE MAY BOTH GET IN TROUBLE. You may back up the township road you came in on, but not toward the open yard, docks, or other cottages in the neighborhood as these are all private roads. Sorry! We’ve had to emphasize this because of past guests breaking the rules, and us getting complaints from neighbors. Please help us be good neighbors.** We live about 15 minutes away in Loudonville. Guests may access the property via the lockbox and contact us via Airbnb if needed. The cottage is located in a private boat club neighborhood. It’s generally quiet except for summer weekends. Most of the neighbors are long time owners who enjoy the quiet and privacy, but are very friendly. We are just a short drive to all of Mohican and Pleasant Hill. We’re about 10 minutes from Perrysville, 15 minutes from Loudonville, and 25 minutes from Mansfield. You’ll need a car to get around the area as there is no public transportation. We have access to four parking spaces in the gravel area directly across the road from the bottom of our stairs.
