This quaint farmhouse is located just off of MO Hwy 72 on a 62 acre farm nestled against the Castor River. Here you and your companion(s) can experience the quiet and relaxing life on a farm with plenty of adventure awaiting just around the bend. Sit and enjoy a sip of coffee or tea on the front porch while watching the cattle graze the pasture across the road next to a rustic white barn or venture about 3 miles to the largest privately owned lake in Madison County. Oh yes, enjoy your stay! The space Journey up the gravel road about three miles to a beautiful 12 acre lake in a remote location. Here guests may enjoy fishing, swimming, kayaking or canoeing. Set well outside the lights of the city with a clear night guests will enjoy star gazing in the open field out back. Don't be surprised by the wildlife; guests could see a deer hop a nearby fence or a snake slither under a rock. Take a hike through the 500 acre property where the lake is located. On a hike, guests could find themselves venturing through parts of the Mark Twain National Forest bordering the property. [Watch out, hikers might bump into an abandoned and slightly haunted homestead nestled somewhere in the forest. Enter at your own risk...] Guest access The entire house is yours to enjoy for your stay. We use self check in so you don’t have to worry about finding someone to help you access the home. Other things to note We do not offer television as such. We do have a smart TV with WiFi so you may use a streaming account like Amazon, Hulu, Netflix,Disney etc. there is also a DVD player. There is available a lake for swimming and other water activities. Canoeing Kayaks paddle boat are available for a small fee.
