Wake up to the sound of a Rooster Crow and go to sleep to the clippity clop of Horse Drawn Buggies. This unique stay is one of the most authentic in Shipshewana, IN. The space This is an Amish home and therefore only has one electrical outlet. There is no air conditioning or electric lights. There are battery powered lights and fans to use, as well as traditional kerosene lamps to use at your own discretion. Other things to note Any water and electricity functions at the property are powered by a generator located in the small structure behind the farmhouse. You may access this structure at your own risk — it is unlocked — to switch the generator to continuous run (ON) if needed. This may be necessary if you experience issues with hot water, running water, or if you need a consistent power source to charge a phone. Please notify me immediately if you choose to set the generator to continuous run. By default, the generator should remain in the AUTO setting and must be returned to AUTO at the end of your stay.
