Secluded, cozy cabin w/ hot tub - 30 min to Breck
County Road Cabin is your perfect mountain getaway! Only 2 hours from Denver and 30 minutes to Breckenridge, the cabin offers the seclusion you crave without sacrificing proximity to local attractions. You can explore all the area has to offer, but we wouldn't blame you if you were tempted to just stay in. There's a hot tub, an outdoor fire pit, an indoor fireplace and a hammock grove complete with camp blankets and pillows. Warm and inviting, this cozy cabin has it all! Perfect for groups from 4-8 people, the space features two separate "living" areas, three queen-size beds (plus queen size sleeper sofa) and an office area for working-from-home. Guests will enjoy flannel comforters, Pendleton blankets and terrycloth robes meant for maximum coziness. Although close to both Breckenridge and Fairplay, the cabin sits on nearly an acre of beautiful aspen and evergreen trees, giving you the privacy and seclusion you're seeking in a mountain getaway. Guests will be able to access the entire cabin. Self check-in is available, and although the host won't be nearby when renting he will be available via phone call / text at any hour of the day. Your satisfaction is our #1 priority, so please don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable. Alma – the highest incorporated town is North America – is nestled in between Breckenridge (30 minutes) and Fairplay (10 minutes). Home to the Decalibron loop (four 14ers), Alma is the perfect jumping off point for outdoor adventures. Close to both hiking and ski trails, it provides you with proximity to big-time fun without losing that small-town feel. Our guest book will show you all the area has to offer during any season! The cabin is accessible via County Road 10 and County Road 12, but only County Road 12 is maintained during the winter. 4WD vehicles aren't required during the summer months, but are strongly encouraged between November-April. From Denver, you can access Alma via 70 West and 9 South (2 hrs, cell service most of the way) or 285 South, 9 North (10-15 minutes faster, but not much cell service). Be on the lookout for wildlife in the area. Although rare, it is possible to see moose, bears and deer. To prevent unwelcome encounters, it's important to clean up any food left outside, and secure trash in the bear-proof garbage bin.
