The main level of this spacious farmhouse features all hardwood floors, a master king bedroom, a queen bedroom, a full bathroom, and an open concept kitchen/dining/living area. The farmhouse features lots of windows for natural light and views of the beautiful valley and gardens. The master bedroom has a small sitting area and an en suite with a walk-in shower. A BONUS FEATURE in the master bedroom is a 2 person cedar infrared sauna that has bluetooth speakers for connecting to your device for listening to music, podcasts, or movies. The sauna also features interior mood lighting. The queen bedroom has a ceiling fan, closet space and 4 pillows provided to help you be extra comfortable. Both beds have new very comfortable memory foam mattresses. The bathrooms are supplied with crisp linens, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. A full kitchen with a large butcher block island includes a gas stove, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, basic cookware and dishes. Coffee, creamer, hot cocoa, microwave popcorn and basic spices are provided for your convenience as we are 15 minutes away from any store. A laundry room with a washer and dryer is NOT available with the main level farmhouse rental, but may be accessed by permission if no other guests are in the lower level rental space. A living room with an L shaped couch and 2 side chairs gives plenty of room for relaxing. A smart TV is provided for watching Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, etc. High speed internet works great for all your work/personal needs and may be used for WiFi calling as cell service is limited in our area. Our outdoor space includes picnic tables, rocking gliders, space for hanging your hammock, a campfire area, upper covered patio with dining table and chairs, and areas to walkabout the farm property. An electric pellet grill is available on an outside upper patio behind the garage. The night skies provide beautiful star gazing. We are committed to ecological practices on the farm and in our farmhouse. We recycle and compost and encourage our guests to do the same. A solar array powers the whole farm and we offer an EV charger. The home is ran on geothermal heating/cooling and a gas fireplace in the entryway adds additional cozy heat. You have the entire main floor to yourself with a private entrance. The lower level of the farmhouse may be rented out to other guests. The main floor of the house is separated from the lower level via a stairwell that has a two-sided locked doorway at the bottom. Some noise and cooking smells may transfer between the levels of the house. **This is a shared house with two separate floors available for rental either separately, or you can rent the whole house if you prefer the entire house to yourselves without any noise of others within the house. This porch is perfect for relaxing with morning coffee, laughing with girlfriends while enjoying nibbles and wine, or people watching and having the best view of live music during pizza nights. Picnic tables, glider chairs, and a campfire ring are provided. Please feel free to walkabout the farm property. Request to tag along while we do the farm chores if you'd like to learn about the animals. Farmer, family, and/or Suncrest Gardens employees or pizza night guests may be outside depending on the day or time. If you need anything during your stay, please feel free to ask. We're happy to help you out to make your stay even better! The assistant farm manager lives on the farm in a different dwelling. We are located six miles off the Great River Road near the Mississippi River valley. Kayaking, canoeing, fishing, snowmobiling, skiing, bird watching, hiking, and biking are local options for the outdoor enthusiast. A variety of small shops are fun to explore in the small river towns and hidden treasures are tucked away in our countryside providing reasons to explore our hills. We are located in a rural farm area. Having a car in necessary to travel between destinations. Many destinations will have a 30-60 minute drive. Winona is a 30 minute drive; LaCrosse is a 60 minute drive, the Twin Cities is a 2 hour drive. Foods from the farm may be purchased ahead of time and we are happy to have your order ready for your stay. We send out an order form the week prior to your visit with current farm good offerings. From May-September, we are open to the public on Friday and Saturday evenings featuring our wood-fired pizzas, farm-to-table seasonal sides, local wine, craft beer and more. Live music may be scheduled to play in the yard across from the farmhouse which ends by 9pm. In October, we often host private events on Saturdays in the barn/yard. The benefit to you is that the wood-fired pizza oven would be hot so you could order pizzas. Occasionally, other special private events may be hosted in the barn and yard. All events are family oriented and are usually quiet by 9pm. The outdoor yard is a shared space with guests dining at the farm. Farmers, family, and/or Suncrest Gardens employees or pizza night guests may be outside depending on the day or time. A farm manager lives on the property in a different dwelling. Suncrest Gardens is a working farm year round and has an on-farm restaurant open to the public May-September.
