Upstairs Suite at Blue Goose Hostel
Description
Enjoy more privacy in our Queen Suite with attached bath. We have one private suite w/queen bed and bath, upstairs in the hostel. You'll have access to a full kitchen with everything needed for cooking a full meal. The space The Blue Goose Hostel sits on 2.5 acres. In the Hostel there are three lodging options. We are also home to the Blue Goose Bakery & General Store. The bakery and general store are open Tuesday-Friday from 10-6. As an added bonus the Bakery has an honor system for after hours sweets, a light dinner, soft drinks or our specialty ice cream. Guest access Guest have full access to all of the common spaces at the Blue Goose Hostel. This includes a living room area filled with books and games. An Art Studio with a variety of mediums. Guests are welcome to shop in the general store after hours and settle up when staff's around. The bakery and general store are open Tuesday-Friday from 10-6. As an added bonus the Bakery has an honor system for after hours sweets, a light dinner, soft drinks or our specialty ice cream. Outside guests have access to the breezeway, two decks all with chairs and tables. In true Southern style there is a front porch with rocking chairs and ceiling fans and a haint blue ceiling. There are gardens all over the Blue Goose property. Please take one of the garden maps and investigate all of the perennials, edibles and native plants. During your stay Staff is available from Tuesday- Friday for 10am-6pm at the Blue Goose Hostel and General Store. Ginger or Linda will be glad to help you with most things that might come up during the day. Logan is our baker and is in the kitchen in the mornings. All staff is gone by 6pm. After hours and on the weekends, Donna is available. Please fell free to text or call at anytime. Other things to note The Blue Goose property shares a property line with the historic Union Church. The church was used as a field hospital for Sherman's men during his March to the Sea in December of 1864. Guest are welcome to get the key from the Blue Goose and go inside the church for a self guided tour. At noon on Wednesday and Sunday you will here the bell from the church ring. The historic church is frequently used for small weddings and community events throughout the year. Events are posted in the kitchen at the hostel.
