If you want to get away from your busy life and enjoy a peaceful, quiet time, Pine Ridge Cabin is for you. Our cabin is nestled in the woods, but conveniently located to Lake Ouachita and Hot Springs. It is great for couples, solo adventurers, friends, and families with or without kids. You can chill and relax at the cabin, or enjoy activities including hiking, kayaking, water activities, and mine prospecting available in the area. Visit pineridgecabin.com for detailed information. The cabin sits on top of almost 5 acres of wooded hill. During the summer, the trees get pretty thick, and you can enjoy various shades of greens. During the month of October and November, you will see beautiful shades of fall colors. The cabin is cozy with simple furnishing. There are 4 sleeping areas: Master Bedroom (Loft), Downstairs Bedroom (Bunk Bed Room), Sun Room, and Living Room. We can fit 8 to 9 people comfortably (1 person per twin or full size bunk beds, 2 people sharing queen size beds), up to 11 people if the full size bunk beds are shared (2 people per full size bed). The master bedroom is in loft (meaning no wall between the main living area and the bedroom - see photo) with a queen size bed and a full bathroom (shower, vanity, toilet, closet). The bathroom also has a good size closet with hangers. There is also a desk and a lounge chair for your convenience. The 2nd bedroom is downstairs next to a full bathroom (shower/tub, vanity, toilet) and has a closet, a TV, a DVD player, and toys and books for children. This room also has a door to access the back deck, and the door can be locked from inside. The 3rd bedroom is actually a sun room that we converted into a bedroom. The room has a lot of windows, and it is air conditioned. The bed in this room is a twin size day bed with a twin size slide out bed, which becomes a king size bed when it's pulled out. The room has a TV and a DVD player, and some storage space for your belongings. This room also has a door to access the back deck, and it is separated from the living room with a French door. The living room has a comfortable sofa with chairs. The sofa is also a queen size pull out bed. There is a TV and a DVD player as well as several board games for fun evenings. Many tourists brochures of the area and hiking trail maps can be found behind the sofa in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware/bakeware, dinnerware, drinkware, utensils (including for little ones) and basic condiments/spices. We also provide paper towels, ziplock bags, plastic wrap, foil, etc. Full size oven/stove, a microwave, a toaster oven and a coffee maker are available. There is a filtered water dispenser on the refrigerator for drinking, etc. in case you do not want to use the well water from the faucet. If you like to grill, we have a charcoal grill outside. All bed and bath linens are provided (extras in the closets). We also provide most of the necessities such as toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, towels, first aid kit, etc. The utility closet has a small stacked washer/dryer with detergent and fabric softener. The outdoor space provides a fire pit with chairs. Firewood is available, and there is a plenty of space around it for kids to run around and play. They can utilize all the natural materials found on the ground such as rocks, sticks, pine needles, and leaves. The back deck is also a perfect space to enjoy morning coffee, listen to music, or even play some corn hole matches. You can access the deck from inside the cabin or by using the side staircase. Rocking chairs are available on the front porch. High speed internet is now available! You can stream shows and movies with your app subscriptions. You can access everywhere inside and outside of the cabin, including the fire-pit, excluding the owner's closet which is under the staircase. If you decide to explore the woods, you will see a colored ribbon on trees, which represents the property line. Since we live in Texas, we will not be available in person. However, please contact us if you need anything or in case of emergency. Our cleaning lady and handyman live close to the cabin, and they are usually available to help. The cabin sits in a small neighborhood with 10-15 cabins around. There are many trees around, so you won't see the neighbors much especially in the summer time when the trees have full foliage. You will see the next door through the trees during the winter months, but they do not live there full-time and you hardly ever see them. The cabin sits off of Hwy 270, and very convenient to access the main part of Mount Ida as well as Hot Springs. The closest marina is about 10 min drive, and it takes about 30 min to the Bath House Row area in Hot Springs and the Hot Springs Airport. Before Arrival: • You will receive a message on Airbnb a week prior to your arrival date. This will include driving directions, a code to access the front door, and other instructions. • We highly recommend using your GPS for direction, as the turn you need to take to enter the neighborhood is very easy to miss. During Your Stay: • The cabin is on well. The water is filtered, but if you prefer extra filtered water for drinking or cooking, there is a dispenser on the refrigerator. • During spring to summer season, there are bugs in the woods, such as ticks, chiggers, spiders, and so on. We try to have bug sprays at the cabin, but you may want to bring your own bug sprays to be safe. Before Leaving: • Check out process will be included in the message you receive before arrival.
