SXSW Caffeination & Creation Station
SXSW Caffeination & Creation Station
Description
Welcome to my apartment in the up and coming Cherrywood neighborhood! Downtown, Rainey, or trendy East 6th are all accessible via Uber/Lyft or electric scooter, and I'm only a 15 minute walk from the new Moody Center. I am a big coffee nut, so you'll have access to a ton of ways to brew coffee, plus there's plenty of great coffee shops, bars, and restaurants within steps of the apartment complex. I hope you'll enjoy! The space I have stayed at many Airbnb's around the world and have tried to set up my home to have everything you'll need: LIVING ROOM 55" Sharp 4K Roku TV w/Netflix & media server Power strip near couch w/USB-C & Lightning chargers Nest Mini speaker Desk & workspace Ceiling fan KITCHEN Oven & stove Vitamix blender Instant Vortex 6 quart air fryer Juicer SodaStream Toaster oven Panini press COFFEE BAR Keurig Bonavita drip coffeemaker Nespresso Chemex Aeropress French Press Clever Dripper Oxo coffee grinder Electric gooseneck kettle Electric milk frother MUSIC CORNER Electronic drum kit (keep playing respectful to neighbors) Gibson SG electric guitar Mixer & microphone BEDROOM 43" Philips Roku TV w/Netflix & media server 2x bedside lamps w/integrated wireless charging Power strips next to each side of the bed Nest Mini speaker Ceiling fan BATHROOM Stackable washer & dryer Nest Mini speaker Power strip with USB for charging Hair dryer Shower curtain that holds phones & tablets Guest access There is free guest parking available at the complex, but at your own risk as I've seen them tow longer term guests. Free street parking should be available nearby. But honestly, in this neighborhood you don't need a car. Ubers and Lyfts are plentiful and cost <$10 most times to get to and from Downtown or the surrounding areas. If you like to walk, it's about a 40 minute walk to Downtown. And there's plenty of e-scooters nearby that can get you to Downtown in less than 10 minutes for <$5. Other things to note As well as the many coffee methods I have in my home, there's some great coffee shops in the area. Here are my favorites: Try Hard Coffee: A good 30 minute walk from my house but my favorite coffee shop in town. You can also grab a scooter and be there even quicker. Bennu Coffee: My favorite coffee shop in the immediate area, only an 8 minute walk, you can order online in advance. Used to be 24 hours, due to Covid only 6pm now. Thunderbird Coffee: The absolute closest shop to my door, it's only a block away! And they have an excellent outdoor patio where many people come to get some work done. Dear Diary: I'll occasionally make the 15 minute walk to support this friendly female-owned business. Only open until 4pm on weekdays but later on the weekends. Texas Coffee Traders: It's even further than Try Hard, but I have a soft spot for these guys as I used to live next door. Cheapest cup of coffee in town and a big variety of beans.
