Our custom wood home borders the Whitefish Dunes Park and has the Best Sand Beach in Door County. Built in the late '90s, our 4000 Square foot house is beautifully equipped to accommodate up to 10 people! We are not directly on the water - but our private beach is just a 3-minute walk (or 500 feet) from our front door. The space On the "Quiet Side" of Door County there is a "Dream Home" that is literally on the borderline of the Whitefish Dunes State Park. You’ll love our home because of the high ceilings, the location, and the views. Our home is nicely nestled in the woods on top of a huge sand dune that OVERLOOKS beautiful Lake Michigan. Take a short venture down our steep driveway, then on a path through the woods to get our beautiful sand beach - the sand on the beach is so clean that it squeaks! We are located in an exclusive, secluded area, yet we are only 15-20 minutes from the quaint village shops and wineries that Door County offers. Our Rec Room offers Ping Pong, a coffee table with backgammon and cribbage, 36 inch Smart TV and a pull-out queen size sofa for groups that wish to add a 4th private bedroom. Our large great room offers a beautiful cathedral ceiling, fireplace, plenty of comfortable seating, 42" flat panel Smart TV with an HDMI cable for your laptop. Large Kitchen offers a microwave, glass cooktop, full-size oven, 2 full-size refrigerators (1 in the garage), dishwasher, coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, blender and lots of cabinets, counter space and a variety of spices. Our Sunroom/dining room facing Lake Michigan has 8 skylights over a dining table that seats up to 10 plus high chairs. In addition, our snack bar seats 3. We have a Huge Back Deck with beautiful Western exposures with natural charcoal grill and seating for 10 or more. Everyone loves hanging out at our Fire Pit overlooking beautiful Whitefish Dunes State Park. Awesome views of the Big Dipper and Little Dipper in the Summer. Laundry room with washer, dryer and a laundry sink. SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS: Bedroom #1: Master Bedroom (second floor) with Queen bed positioned directly under a sky lite. Smart TV with an HDMI cable for your laptop. Large walk-in closet. Directly off of the bedroom is an extra-large loft area with a long catwalk that has been used as a stage for shows our kids have put on over the years. Master bath with two-person whirlpool. Shower with massaging jets and 2 showerheads. Climb the ship’s ladder (located in the corner of the bedroom) to access the Crow’s Nest with a panoramic view of the Whitefish Dunes State Park and Lake Michigan. Bedroom #2 (main floor) 2 full-size beds, dresser & closet. There are 5 windows with a beautiful view of Whitefish Dunes State Park. Bedroom #3 (main floor) 1 full-size / twin bunk bed, additional twin bed, 2 dressers, and walk-in closet. Private deck with amazing views of the State Park. * Bedroom #4 (main floor): For groups that need 4 private sleeping areas the rec room easily becomes a private sleeping area with a pull-out Queen size bed directly under a skylight. There is also a half bathroom just outside the door. #5 Open Concept Bedroom on the upper loft with Full-Size Futon Couch. Great spot for kids or for adults that do not need privacy. Beautiful view of the Great Room and Whitefish Dunes Park. #6 Couches and the den and great room have been used as beds for larger groups. 1 portable crib PLEASE BE AWARE: We love the views from the house so much - and our location is so private - that we decided not to use any window coverings anywhere in our home. Guest access You will be the only people staying at this home. You will have access to every space with the exception of a small "manager's room" opposite the main level bedroom bathroom area. Other things to note We have a fire pit and a perfect area for bonfires.
