No one owns any one particular condo at this resort. People own points in their Club and they assign an actual unit at check in when you arrive. We do not know which building you will be assigned or what floor you will be on until you get there. All 2BR condos are OCEAN VIEW. The resort is on Pacific Coast Hwy across the street from Capistrano Beach. We will confirm the condo floorplan assignment right away after you book. Capistrano Beach's charming small town atmosphere and a myriad of recreational opportunities have christened it a viable vacation destination. Branching off from the city of Dana Point, “Capo Beach” is also bordered on by the vivacious Laguna Beach to the north and San Clemente to the south. As one of the few remaining "beach towns" in the busy Orange County area, Capo Beach has (impressively) avoided much of the commercialization common to the area. The city ordinance prohibits all smoking in Dana Point, except in a private home or vehicle. As this resort is located within the city limits, there will not be a designated smoking area on property. Perfectly positioned between lush rolling hills and the glistening coastline, the resort offers spacious accommodations. Enjoy the resort’s two swimming pools, hot tubs and fitness center, or venture out to one of the nearby beach towns. Only one vehicle per accommodation may be parked in underground garages. Additional vehicles must be parked outdoors or off-site. Check in begins at 4 pm but if you arrive in town prior to that by all means, visit the front desk and say hi. If your villa is ready they will be happy to check you in early and give you the keys. If not, you can explore the area while they finish cleaning and preparing for your arrival. = : ) 24 Hour front desk. If there is any danger of arriving near midnight or later definitely call the front desk. Their computers cancel people as no show at midnight unless front desk staff throws a flag in their system the day of arrival. Front desk is option 5 on their phone system when you call. Check out is always 10 am. The front desk will usually allow a late checkout until noon before they start adding new charges and an additional nite. It is entirely up to them and how badly they need to get into your unit to clean up before the next incoming guest. Ask about your options for late check out when you arrive. = ; ) The front desk has complete control over unit assignments, cleaning and maintenance. This is a Diamond Resorts International property and the front desk will collect a FULLY REFUNDABLE $300 damage security deposit prior to check in. The deposit must be made on a major credit card. Cash and pre-paid- and/or debit cards are not accepted for the security depsit. This will merely be an "authorization" which will expire unused within a few days. (None of my guests have ever caused damage inside any of the condos = : ) Resort fees, room charges and on site purchases are welcome to any means of purchase (Major CC, cash, debit etc all are welcome for room charges.)
