Unique home on the bank of the Huron River, a half-mile walk to the pedestrian-friendly Village of Milford, known for its array of shops, restaurants, outside dining, concerts, and festivals. Dine or relax on one of two decks overlooking the river. You’ll see abundant wildlife depending on the season. There’s a fire pit at river's edge for relaxing or roasting marshmallows, and a gas grill on the dining deck. There are two sit-in kayaks available for use and more can be rented nearby. The space Unique quad-level home. Enter on main level to living room and kitchen/dining area. Dining room has slider to a river-front dining deck. It's six steps up from the main level to upper level, where there are three bedrooms and one full bath. From the main level, it's seven steps down to the lower level den/family room and the second full bath, plus laundry area. Den/family room also has a slider to a furnished deck overlooking the river. Kitchen, dining, den, and bedroom 1 all have a view of the Huron River from an elevated position. Basement level is an all-purpose room with a walkout to the backyard. This is an owner-operated home with guest comfort and safety our priority. W Huron St. can be busy at times, but the hillside creates a quiet and peaceful setting on the river's edge and most of the house, but there is some traffic noise during busy hours in the front rooms. The open waterfront at the rear and the Village street out front make this home unsuitable for young children or pets. The steps inside the home and deck steps leading to the river may make this home unsuitable for guests with mobility impairments. We have hosted all such guests, however, so please reach out to us with specific questions! Guest access Guests will have the whole house to themselves. There is one small indoor closet locked for owner's supplies and projects. There is a locked outdoor storage compartment and the crawl space in the basement is locked for safety. Other things to note The Village of Milford has a noise ordinance. We’re friends with our neighbors and want to keep it that way. There is no street parking. The no-parties-or-events rule is strictly enforced. No smoking of any kind includes tobacco, marijuana, vaping, e-cigarettes and hookah. Smoking outside is ok and disposal cans are provided. Guests seeking stays longer than 28 days will be required to sign a lease and agree to house cleanings every two weeks.
