Cottage in Quiet Neighborhood
Make this cozy cottage in a quiet downtown neighborhood your home away from home. Built in 1928 and completely remodeled, this home is light and open with hardwood floors, light woodwork, and french doors. This home has many unique touches such as original art and an extensive book collection. It's in a quiet neighborhood 5 min. from downtown, restaurants, shopping, and the city park. Close to KSU campus. This home sits on a dead end street and has it's own driveway for off street parking. There is a queen size bed in an open room with the dining table near the kitchen. A futon sofa in the living room can convert to a comfortable full size bed. The full size bed is best for 2 children or one adult. Two newly remodeled bathrooms with showers means no wait! Some toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, and lotion provided. All linens provided. If you would rather stay in and cook no problem! The well stocked kitchen has everything you need, and the dining table seats 4. There is a coffeemaker and coffee and tea available. An armoire is available for clothes. There is a desk in the living room and WIFI is available. Kick back and relax in the living room with a book, watch Hulu Live, or a DVD. We love our little cottage and hope you do too! Please note that check in time is now 4pm to allow for cleaning. Guests have access to the entire house, except a front room which is locked off. No one else shares this space. We love the energy of the downtown area. There are great restaurants - Harry's Uptown, El Patron, Della Voce, Tallgrass Taphouse, AJs Pizza, The Chef, and Bourbon & Baker. City Park is very close by with a great water park and pool, baseball, tennis, volleyball, an ice rink in winter, playground equipment, and jogging/biking path. The mall sits at the end of downtown with a dine-in and IMAX theatre, and lots of shopping. The Manhattan Public Library is only 5 minutes away, also downtown. It's an easy drive to the K-State campus and Bill Snyder Family Stadium and Bramlage. Getting around Manhattan is probably easiest by car. If you don’t have one, Lyft and Uber are both options. There is a bus stop at the Douglass Center on Yuma between 9th and 10th, very close. Lots of bus stops downtown, fewer in the residential neighborhoods. If you are doing things downtown it’s all very close. Many things can be walkable or you can bike if weather is nice.
