The space This is a chance to sleep in the area we spent many late nights making maple syrup. As you snuggle in under one of Sue's homemade quilts, with a little imagination you can hear the wood fire roaring, see the sap in a rolling boil as the steam evaporates off and the sap thickens. Let your mind drift and you may catch the sweet scent of maple as the sap slowly turns into sticky sweet maple syrup. The Sugarhouse is full of memories of family, friends, and hard but special work. There is a magic spirit of quiet peace here that nature brings to those who slow down to find it. I am grateful to sit quietly and feel the magic of maple, as I am sure you will too. Guest access This is a complete cabin for your use and enjoyment. You have your own driveway through the mowed fields. The sugarhouse is located at the edge of the woods 700 feet from the main house. The sugar bush trail starts at the front door. The woods and fields so close, so accessible, are made for wandering. Other things to note Dogs, we ask that you keep your dog under control but, a lead is not required when walking the property. We will have a dog crate available, extra cleaning supplies, chair covers, special bedspreads, and pet bowls. We do ask that you clean up after your pet. We provide bags and a special trash can. We do charge a $40.00 pet fee. This is the total pet fee for the entire stay.
