Amazing View Near the Beach. Peaceful Charm

This charming bungalow home was built in the 1930's and is bursting with charm and natural beauty. We are situated only 9 minutes from the beach and the PCH. We are located in a coveted spot in the canyon because of the perfect climate, gentle sea breeze, and peace and quiet. The view is spectacular! Enjoy every meal in the most beautiful setting. Topanga canyon is famous for its artistic and outdoor influence. Endless mountain trails and Topanga state park are located only 5 min away! The space There is a bedroom with a queen bed and private lockable door upstairs and an open bedroom downstairs with one queen bed and one twin bed. There is one full bathroom upstairs and one full bathroom downstairs. The home is not safe for children under the age of 5 as they can fall off the deck by squeezing through the railing and tumble down the steep spiral staircase. The main stairs connecting the upstairs and downstairs are very steep wooden spiral stairs that might be difficult for some guests. There is another safer staircase that connects the floors but it is outside and still steep. DISCLAIMER: Please read. Our home was originally built in the 1930’s and is furnished with mid-century furniture. It’s old, very old, and has a ton of charm and character. With its age comes slanted floors, sticky windows and doors, old cabinets, noisy pipes (sometimes), not perfect heat/AC (though you shouldn't really need it), etc. We like it that way. Our home is also in the mountains which means you might see bats, rodents, and spiders. We do not use rat poison as this kills owls, foxes, mountain lions, and coyotes in the area. If any of this makes you uncomfortable and you're looking for a modern, perfect home then our home is not for you. The Studio: Chelsea is a painter and we have a small studio with paints and canvas setup in an unused area downstairs. Please keep children out of this area as these paints are toxic if swallowed. You are free to use the studio space as you see fit. Guest access Prior to your stay we will send you your code to enter the home. Other things to note Our home is a place of peace and refuge from the noisy city. We have a strict no-noise rule after 10pm. Topanga is a canyon and noise travels and we have had many complaints from neighbors who go to bed early and sleep with their windows open. Please do not hang out outside or on the patio after 10pm and close the doors to the house. Please respect this rule, or we will be forced to ask you to leave. Sorry for the inconvenience. No parties, gatherings, etc allowed at our home. Our home is for booked guests only due to noise issues and no parking. Very important that no small children are allowed on the deck. We actually don't want any children staying at this house under the age of 5 years old. They can fall from the deck or down the steep spiral stairs. The spiral stairs would also be very difficult for the elderly. They would need to stay up stairs or use the other outdoor stairs to access the downstairs. Also, very important to note that there are only two parking spaces and no other possible parking. It's best if you just have one car. Two cars is possible, but it means you'll have to open the outer gate and park single-file. VERY IMPORTANT: Please, please, please never park in my neighbor's driveway. It is a very sensitive issue and you will be towed. Please don't park there under any circumstance.
