Rustic Bear Creek Cabin
Description
The cabin is situated on our multigenerational, operational farm. Experience rural life in depth. This unique stay provides endless opportunities for exploring and experiencing Mother Nature’s bounty at its best! Falling Springs falls, the Jackson River, The Homestead and The Greenbrier Resort are all nearby! Outdoor activities are available throughout the area: ample hiking trails, kayaking excursions, fishing, Lake Moomaw, the infamous natural, warm spring waters bubbling from the earth, etc.! The space The space is designated as a private area to guests and is considered their own rural retreat. The cabin is great for two guests, but can accommodate up to four. There may be livestock or friendly, family farmers on tractors passing through from time to time or whitetail deer and bunnies hopping in front of you while drinking your morning coffee, but they’re very sweet and enjoyable. Guests are able to wander around the farm and experience the flourishing native plant species, sunsets, sunrises and one of a kind mountainous views, exploration or other scheduled activities by day and convene to the cozy, private cabin in the evening. Guest access The entire cabin is private to our guests! Other things to note ***Upon booking, please indicate within your reservation or through a message to the host if you will require ONE or BOTH sleeping spaces. ~ If you would like to request the additional sheets/bedding for the downstairs, pullout bed, we would very much appreciate if our guests would leave a simple note of it upon booking. We strive to ensure all guests are provided with ample supplies. Thank you!*** >>Please remove all pillowcases and sheets; gather them with all bathroom linens and put everything in the bathtub as you depart. >>Many fences on the property are electrified to keep livestock and other farm animals from wandering into the road or too far into the forests. These fences can deliver quite a jolt. Please be aware as you’re wandering—the wires are visible, just be cautious :) >>We ask that any gates that you enter or exit on the farm, by car or by foot, be closed and latched to avoid animal escapes! >>There is one green colored gate upon entry into the main drive of the cabin. There is an additional gate directly beside the cabin. To protect your vehicle from potentially curious cows, horses and sheep, we recommend that you park your vehicle in the parking space on the inside of this gate. When parking outside this gate, guests risk having vehicles explored by livestock. >>The cabin runs on a well & septic system. It is very important that toilet tissue (no personal hygiene products) is all that is flushed down the commode. It is also very important that water is not accessed or toilets flushed during a power outage or it will destroy the system. >>Please use caution getting in and out of the bathtub/shower unit. >>Shampoo, conditioner & body wash are all provided. A selection of basic toiletries is provided in the bathroom cabinet above toilet, if needed. >>Two small refrigerator/freezer units, along with a microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker are available. >>Basic kitchen utensils are provided. >>There is a burner/hot plate unit available for cooking use, accompanied by a couple of pans/pots. >>The tap well water is safe, but guests may prefer the taste of bottled drinking water. One gallon of bottled water is provided. >>Check with host regarding visits from non-registered guests.
