Camping on a Private Pond

A serene place in nature to unplug and unwind. It's private and quiet with the exception of the sound of the running brook. (NO WIFI or CELL service at the cabin) May come to the house if you need to get in touch during your stay. There is local hiking and two large lakes close by. Farmer's markets and acclaimed theatre are available throughout the Fall Season along with local beer-fests. Most of all, we have one of the most stunning foliage seasons in the country! The space The property is well maintained with beautiful flowers, a pond for fishing and swimming and the sound of the running brook. There are many amenities provided for a comfortable stay. The cabin has a comfortable Queen size bed. You may bring your own bed linen to imitate the feeling of sleeping at home. If that is not an option for you, bedding will be provided on an as needed basis. PLEASE BE SURE TO LET THE HOST KNOW IF BEDDING IS NECESSARY so it can be ready for you. If you are renting in the Fall season there is gas heat in the cabin to take the chill out of those colder nights. The "Loo", or commonly known as the bathroom is equipped with a private toilet on one side. The other side appeals to those looking for a hot shower after a long day or to even start a day. It is equipped with an On-demand Hot Water tank. To enjoy nature from the outside there is a Grill area set up conveniently next to the Marble Stone table and bench seating. A large umbrella and push tent available for cover from sun or rain. The fire pit is ready for use and even has a top grill for smore's and/or roasting hot dogs ect... (FIREWOOD IS NOT PROVIDED...you may purchase wood at the local store, approximately 4 miles from the cabin) To those of us who have furry babies, the property is dog friendly. At night the LED lights will show on the pond for a peaceful view. Trash can with a bag available for use, but please take your trash with you when you leave. Guest access The entire space is for the guests. Other things to note DON'T FORGET: There is no wi-fi or cell service on the pond. You may come up to the house if necessary. We are located just two and a half hours from Boston and four hours from NYC. Hanover NH (Home of Dartmouth College) is only a 25-minute ride. There are local hiking trails and mountains to climb within a half hour. If you enjoy mountain biking, there are lots of trails locally. We are conveniently located near many local swimming holes, waterfalls and deep pools. Lake Fairlee VT is only 10 mins away and Lake Morey VT a 15 min drive.
