If you are looking for a simple, light and bright space as a home base for exploring the wonders of Prince Edward County - here it is! Beautiful property and very pleasant, easy-going and fun hosts (if we must say so ourselves :) Early check in and late check out available STA License # ST-2019-0333 The space A spacious, bright and open lower level of a split-level bungalow with a separate entrance, kitchen with all the basic necessities (minus the stove). Propane BBQ just outside your kitchen door. One bedroom with a queen bed plus a pull-out sofa in the 'Reading Nook' in case there are four of you. Tranquil lounging area on the patio - a perfect place to relax with a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening after a long day of swimming, biking and exploring. You are welcome to use our bicycles and a Sandbanks Park Pass. The property backs onto the Black River teeming with wildlife. All kinds of birds, fish, turtles, frogs, crickets, bunnies and chipmunks will keep you company. There is a small fire pit by the house for your nightly s'mores and fire gazing. No TV. There is so much to do and enjoy outside. Why would you need one?! You are welcome to use Wi-Fi, although it can be temperamental on a rainy or windy day - the downside of "Down by the River" living. Guest access The whole lower level of the house (minus the furnace/storage room and water tank/laundry room), patio and backyard. Other things to note Early check in / Late check out Guests are solely responsible for their own safety and their belongings during their stay. Black River is not suitable for swimming. It is great for kayaking or canoeing in the spring or early summer. No dock. The nearest beach is 20 min drive away. We don't provide meals but have a variety of organic local teas, good coffee and a coffee press, and some other basics. We will be happy to recommend good cafes and restaurants in the area. We have a cat living upstairs with us and a new puppy. She is in training so you might hear some puppy noises. Let us know if you or your dog would like to meet her and we'll bring her to the backyard.
