Escape the city life with a private estate situated on 6 acres, 500 feet of private waterfront, swimming pool, several fireplaces, post and beam construction, exterior fireplaces, Green Egg BBQ, several outdoor dining and relaxing areas, Chardonnay vineyard, lavender field, vegetable garden, pear trees, plum trees, sheep along with breathtaking views and sunsets. Cressy House is owned and operated by chef Grant van Gameren and Sunny Stone, owner of some of Toronto’s most notable restaurants including Bar Isabel and Bar Raval and we welcome you to enjoy it as we love sharing it with individuals who are as passionate about food, wine and most importantly, relaxing in the County. Our small family of 4 including our dog Tahona live on the property. There are no shared amenities other then access to the waterfront. Our property is a perfect fit to accommodate your family or friends for a long weekend or week long getaway. Unfortunately we cannot host weddings on our property as per the county officials and recommend checking out 100 Acre Wood which is a great venue not far away. We have a 3 night minimum in the high season and ask that you keep exterior noise to respectable levels during your stay as noise travels. We grow vegetables on the property and have farm fresh chicken eggs available. For a special experience, Please inquire about our private dinners hosted by chef Grant van Gameren for 8-10 ppl as he prepares a family style meal cooked over fire for you and your guests. Attractions nearby include Cressy mustard, Stella’s eatery, Fifthtown Cheese, County Cider Co, Waupoos winery, Lake on the Mountain, the Miller house and Cape vinyards. Because of the escarpment , cellphone reception is minimal. We are a child friendly accommodation with cribs, a kids play room, baby gates, high chair etc. Please let us know In your booking if you require any of these. Your guests should also be ok with dogs as ours has full range of the property while outside and will possibly pay a visit from time to time. if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask!
