During the stay, guests may use the pergola covered patio with string lights and overhead fans. It's great for morning coffee while watching the birds and squirrels. It's also fun for evening gatherings with family and friends. Its yours to experience and enjoy at Selah! Jim is available to receive guests and is accessible by messaging during the stay. He and his wife Liz love to visit with guests which often occurs in the driveway as they come and go. We are careful to respect the privacy of our guests and to social distance with masks for health reasons. But we enjoy getting to know you and, if time permits, have a brief visit! Our pocket neighborhood is an eclectic mix of retired home owners, young professionals, and college students. We only a few blocks from downtown Denton and literally across the street from Texas Womans University. Most houses in our neighborhood are craftsman style homes built in the early to middle 1900's. Several on our block, including ours, have been restored. The neighborhood is stable, safe, and under constant patrol by TWU police. Historic downtown square with shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. DART transit bus stops are located a block away. The DART train depot is a few blocks away. A campus parking lot is a half block away. Private parking is available in our driveway and on the south side of our street. The guesthouse can accommodate up to three guests. The nightly price is for up to two guests. There is an additional charge of $20/nt for a third guest. Please note on your reservation the names of each guest who will stay in the guesthouse. There is no additional charge for friends or family who come to visit but not stay overnight with the guests. We are committed to maintaining a high standard for cleaning and disinfecting the premises for the well being of our guests as well as our own. We carefully follow the new Airbnb 5 Step protocol for enhanced cleaning and comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines. Towels and bed linens are cleaned and sanitized for each guest. We clean and sanitize the kitchen and bathroom including high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob. We use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies and wear protective gear during cleaning to help prevent cross-contamination. We provide extra cleaning supplies for guests including disinfectant wipes, disposable masks and gloves, and anti-bacterial hand sanitzer. Finally, we have a sweet and gentle black lab named Max. He stays in our house and follows Jim outside around the yard. He is friendly, well behaved, and loves to greet our guests. Guests always remember Max!
