The Arcata Cali Cottage

Newly remodeled cottage in country setting 10 minutes from town. Fun California inspired design featuring work from local craftsmen and artists. For those seeking a true Humboldt experience. Situated halfway between Arcata and Blue Lake on 9 acre property where owners live next door. Well lit path up through the garden to a private retreat. We boast amazing views of surrounding redwoods and neighborhood horses. Great for those seeking outdoor adventure with all the comforts of home. The space 1 room, 350ft2 studio has been carefully designed for small living and comfort. Well equipped (owner is avid cook), custom tiny kitchen with convection oven, 2 burner sleek cooktop, mini blender, and a red fridge.The kitchen is stocked with pots/pans, cookie sheets, basic spices, olive oil and vinegar for simple healthy meals. Custom California Black Walnut headboard. All artwork is by Humboldt County or Northern California artists. Tempurpedic mattress with down pillows and comforter, all cotton/linen bedding. Guest access Guests have a private driveway, and entire cottage, with covered deck, and access to garden area. There are hidden hammocks under a willow tree in dry weather, and the views of surrounding redwoods, horses and resident Redtail Hawks make for the true Humboldt experience. Other things to note During COVID 19, we are taking extra precautions between guests with UV-C filters running, and windows open.
