Come and Stay at the Baker Circle Chalet!! If you are looking to escape to Mt. Baker the Baker Circle Chalet is the perfect cozy log cabin mountain getaway in the North Cascades. From steep powder runs in the winter to amazing hikes and outdoor activities in the summer the adventures are endless. The Baker Circle Chalet is a newly updated clean, comfortable cozy rustic log cabin retreat located in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National forest in the small little town of Glacier, Washington USA. The Baker Circle Chalet is in the gated community of Snowline Community one mile east of downtown Glacier on HWY 542 on the left. Snowline Community offers seasonal outdoor pool, tennis court, pickle ball court, basketball court, club house, play ground and direct access to the Nooksack River via two trail heads. Snowline Clubhouse has wifi, pool table, air hockey, foosball and ping pong table about a five minute walk from the Chalet. The First floor has a large common space with 60’ Roku smart tv along with really cozy couches and over a hundred dvd’s great for family movie nights. There is also a full bathroom, bunk bedroom (great for kids) laundry room (great for drying gear) and a small kitchen with mini fridge and microwave. The Second floor has the main kitchen stocked with all the basic kitchen needs to make awesome meals and a full bathroom. The bedroom is a very rustic log room that has a 32’ Roku smart tv with a very cozy feel and very comfortable queen size bed. The dinning area has a solid table for big meals or to sit around and play cards or board games. The living area has two couches where you can sit around and enjoy a fire in the oversized wood stove that provides massive heat (Due to a few guests unfortunately mistreating the wood stove I have been forced to keep the wood stove locked but the cabin has plenty of warm heaters). The Third floor has the master bedroom with two queen beds and 32’ Roku smart tv along with a desk and view of Church mountain. There is a private entrance from the master bedroom to the bathroom and private outdoor deck. The other third floor bedroom has a queen bed and full closet with separate access to the master bathroom and private outdoor deck. The Baker Circle Chalet offers some truly spacious decks for hanging out and chilling with friends and family. The back deck is super private as it boarders Forest Service land. After a long day skiing, snowboarding, hiking or riding mountain bikes the extra large hot tub is a great place to lay back and relax. The barbecue is located underneath a covered deck so you can cook it up rain or shine! The Baker Circle Chalet has plenty of parking and is plowed regularly if the snow starts stacking up. The Chalet is 25 minutes from the Mt. Baker Ski area and plenty of other amazing trail heads. The Mount Baker recreation area is a year-round playground! Winter guests enjoy snowboarding, skiing back-country, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. Summer guests enjoy great hiking, mountain biking, mountain climbing, rock climbing, backpacking, freshwater fishing (lake and river), whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, nature viewing and frisbee golf. Don't forget your camera...The photography opportunities are amazing year-round! No cell reception in Glacier so when you are at the Baker Circle Chalet wifi calling is available and a good old fashion land line as a back up! Power and wifi outages occasionally occur. Sorry, no refunds are offered. Discovery Passes are required for parking at some of trail heads. Passes can be purchased at the Forest Service Ranger Station in Glacier or at the Mt. Baker Visitor center located in Maple Falls. Visit and Stay at the Baker Circle Chalet!! Snowline Community offers seasonal outdoor pool, tennis court, pickle ball court, basketball court, club house, play ground and direct access to the Nooksack River via two trail heads. Snowline Clubhouse has wifi, pool table, air hockey, foosball and ping pong table about a five minute walk from the Chalet. Glacier is located in a very rural area so there is a strong lacking of transportation. The Baker Bus does run weekends and holidays when the Mt. Baker ski area is in full operation. Check www.bakerbus.org for schedule and pick up details. Glacier does not have cell phone service so it is always best to plan ahead. The local grocery stores are awesome but they do close early and can be expensive. Its best to stop in bellingham if you need to stock up on groceries if your coming from that direction. Glacier also does not have any gas stations so its very important to fuel up so you don't have to back track on a powder morning. Maple Falls is located 8 miles west of Glacier and is the last fueling station available before the Mt. Baker Ski area. There is a Baker Circle Chalet lock box located on the outside of Graham's Store by the payphone where you pick up the cabin gate card and keys. Most restaurant's in this area stop serving food around 8pm just make sure if you are arriving after that you and your crew are prepared.
