Make dinner in a fully equipped kitchen & dine out on the large deck. Relax in the hammock or explore miles of trails on your doorstep. The space "Sierra Serenity" offers mid century modern architectural design elements, boasting high ceilings, large windows and a blend of indoor/outdoor living. Our space is newly remodeled in a modern rustic design, providing a cozy mountain atmosphere, with modern conveniences and a touch of vintage vibe. Large great room with gas fireplace for a cozy touch. 2 Upstairs master suites offer beds with top of the line memory foam providing a comfortable night's sleep. The downstairs bedroom suite offers a large picture window with forest views and a wall bed that disappears to transform the room to a sitting room perfect for morning yoga, afternoon drinks or a workspace for a workcation. Sierra Serenity is a family-friendly home well stocked with almost everything you could need. All towels and linens provided. For families with children, there are toys, pack n plays, and snow sleds. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided for guests. Other things to note RULES: NO parties of any kind. Guests must be age 25 or over or traveling with their parents. PARKING: The garage fits one car and the driveway can hold an additional three cars. IMPORTANT: Cars cannot be parked on the street or hang off of the driveway at all, during the winter as the snow plow MUST be able to clear the streets. The driveway will be plowed on snowy days. Keep in mind that the snow plow will need to access, so if you have two cars, park them tandem. CONDITIONS: Tahoe is SUCH a unique and amazing place to visit, but can sometimes be subject to harsh weather conditions, and road closures or impacted by smoke from forest fires. Please note we do not refund bookings not completed due to unforeseeable weather events that disrupt transportation. Weather: Please check CalTrans website for road conditions prior to arrival and departure. The I80 and 267 are local roads used to reach the cabin. California Fire Season: Unfortunately, wildfires have become a regular occurrence during fire season (July - Oct). We are unable to predict smoke and/ or air quality conditions and as such no refunds will be given for wildfires, air quality or other weather conditions. We recommend purchasing trip / travel insurance to protect against unexpected travel disruptions. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: -Important, this property does not have air conditioning. Air conditioners are extremely unusual in North Lake Tahoe due the to cooler climate. Fans are available for use if needed. -This is NOT a pet-friendly property. We do not consider service animals pets. If you bring a dog, you will be subject to a fine and are in breach of contract which could result in being asked to leave the property. - Due to Extreme Fire Danger – The use of ANY outdoor fire pit or fireplace is strictly prohibited. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe from wildfires. IMPORTANT: On March 11th, 2022, the county of Placer implemented a new Short Term Rental Ordinance which is very important for guests to abide by. Fines range from $1,500- 5,000 and can be issued to guests who are not in compliance. A full list of rules is posted in the property and can be found online on the Placer County website. Some Highlights include: • Quiet hours are from 9 pm to 8 am. No noise shall be heard across property lines. No outdoor speakers or amplified sound are to be used at any time. • Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside of a property and all pet waste needs to be picked up. • Parking is limited to onsite only and must not encroach the roadway.
