It's the perfect retreat for relaxing, kayaking, swimming, hiking, biking, and so much more. -Sip your coffee on the decks while enjoying lake wildlife -Grab a kayak or paddleboard and explore the 8 miles of shoreline -Catch the sunset, then end the day sharing stories around the starlit firepit. An ideal base for exploring restaurants, breweries, wineries, galleries, historical sites, trails, farm stores, and orchards. The space *The open floor plan with central air conditioning and an electric fireplace has large windows maximizing the breathtaking Kinderhook Lake views. *The two bedrooms with queen beds (plus upper bunk in second BR) are perfect for couples and small families and promise a restful night sleep. The primary bedroom also has a private workspace overlooking the lake for remote working with fast internet speed. A pack and play crib and a portable playpen are available upon request at booking. *The well-stocked kitchen makes vacationing meal prep effortless, while the dining area overlooking the lake guarantees meals with ever-changing scenery. The dining area provides another workspace as well. Two children's booster chairs are available upon request at booking. *A Roku Smart TV (guests can sign in to their streaming accounts), board games, puzzles, art supplies, books and magazines are available. *You'll enjoy two large private decks. The upper deck has a charcoal grill and a table for four for dining. The lower deck has chaise lounges for sunning and chairs for relaxing. Corn hole boards can be set up on the lawn. Please note that there are stairs going from the upper to lower deck and from the lower deck to the dock. *Four single kayaks, a two person + child kayak, and two stand up paddle boards are available for the duration of your rental. Life vests are available, but bring your own for the best fit. The lake bottom can get rocky, so bring your water shoes. *The cottage’s shallow lake entry and sandy bottom (a few rocks, too) are ideal for kids. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cottage and outside area. There is parking directly in front of the cottage. Other things to note ****Please note: Kinderhook Lake water levels are dropped for shore and dock maintenance beginning October 15. The lake begins to fill to summer levels in the first few weeks of April. We do not have swimming, fishing, kayak or canoe access from the cottage during this time (usually the last week of October through the first two weeks of April), but the views are still gorgeous.
