Description

Barn views, Big Night Sky & Baked Goods. Looking for a place to unplug in the fresh country air within driving distance to antiquing, distilleries & wineries, and the Duck River? Or for an overnight stop during your road trip, just off the interstate? Check out Betty Lou, our 2020 Retro RV; all the classic appeal with modern amenities. Betty is set up on our 10-acre wooded property off a country-road. You'll get your own private campsite to enjoy our Big Night Sky after a day of adventuring. The space You can find additional photos of Betty Lou & our property at @mckibbonhollowbnb COVID Cleaning: We are using approved cleaners to sanitize the space between guests as directed by the CDC & Airbnb. We are also using the Airbnb cleaning guides. In addition, we provide cleaning supplies in the RV for your use during your stay. THE RETRO: Enjoy our fully-equipped 2020 Retro RV, sweet Betty Lou. A little classic, with all the modern convenience. Betty is equipped with air conditioning for cooling off in the hot Tennessee summer, and a furnace for the cool fall/winters. She has a full kitchen with an electric cooktop, microwave, deep stainless steel sink and refrigerator & freezer. You'll get a half dozen fresh eggs provided by our very own flock of McKibbon Hollow Hens, as well as a french press for your morning coffee/tea. We have a self-contained, fully-functional bathroom with a shower, toilet, sink and vanity. The RV comes equipped with a Queen bed with a thick memory foam topper and with closet space in the back of the camper. She's got a built-in dinette for building puzzles, using your laptop, or playing any number of stocked games for some retro fun (UNO, Jenga, Bananagrams, Connect 4, Sequence, Yahtzee, Cards, etc.). If you are interested in having additional guests tent camp in Betty Lou’s campsite, please reach out! There’s a tent camping fee for additional guests, but we are happy to discuss this possibility. Also, we are two miles from I65, so we welcome overnight roadtrippers. If your travel brings you through Middle Tennessee on I65, and you need a quick overnight stop, think of us! WIFI & TV: By booking a reservation, guests understand that this reservation is an UNPLUGGED experience. WIFI is not provided on site. And Betty is not equipped with a TV. Given our rural location, WIFI & Cable are not amenities available to us, and therefore, we do not have the ability to provide them to you. Please take note - NO WIFI OR TV provided during your stay. We do get good cell service with Verizon, T-mobile. AT&T has semi-good coverage out here. We encourage you to unplug, play one of the many games provided, try your hand at some puzzles, or just enjoy the bonfire & big night sky. ON THE PROPERTY: You are welcome to walk the 10 acre property, but please be mindful that a majority of our land is wooded, and various animals and creatures can be neighborly! (Deer, Rabbits, Foxes, etc.). We also have a small apiary with four beehives, they will leave you be (bee? ha!) - just be mindful not to walk directly in front of the hives. The hives are situated on the far side of the property, and not at all close to the campsite. In addition to the bees, we also have a delightful flock of Hens on our property. You'll see them hang out in the Chicken Tractor during the day (to stay cool and to keep from predators)- but we free range them in the evening, if the weather allows. You are always welcome to have a look at the gals; watching them free range in the evenings is its own entertainment. Our family has worked on clearing a few trails in our side wooded lot. We have marked the trail for you, and you are welcome to use the trails anytime. Feel free to use the Hammock set up on the property, with views of the side hill and neighboring farm with cows. Your private fire pit is set up outside the camper and we encourage you to use it during your stay. We have firewood and campfire starters for an extra fee - just be sure to notify us if you'd like to purchase these, so we have them ready for you. THE MCKIBBON HOLLOW MENU At McKibbon Hollow, we take the southern tradition of hospitality pretty seriously. Our full McKibbon Hollow Menu is sent to you upon booking. We offer fresh baked Sourdough Boules, Sourdough Everything Bagels, Flavored Scones & Drizzle, a variety of Sweets (Lemon Bars, Sourdough Brownies, Sourdough Pineapple Sweet Rolls, etc.), as well as our Small Batch Goods (Infused Raw Honeys, Infused Herbal Salts, Extracts, and Seasonings).
