Hi I'm Pat and my cabin is in the woods. Mostly I love the wildlife that surrounds my cabin. There are all kinds of birds, deer, wild turkey, and pheasant. The houses is situated on 7 acres with a pond for your use to swim or fish. There is NO INTERNET at the moment. There is a LAND PHONE to keep in touch with family and friends. This is a great place to restore yourself. I am 9 miles from Oneonta and the All Star Village and 27 miles from Cooperstown Dreams Park. The space is about 800 sq feet. it has two small bedrooms, each with a double bed. The guest bedroom also has a loft bed and the couch is very comfortable as well. The deck is about 400 square feet, with an upper level and a lower level. The pond is a short walk down the hill. There is a dock/deck for the pond. It is completely spring fed, and therefore has hot and cold spots. There is a small house by the pond, which is closed up, but has chairs and a porch swing to enjoy the pond. Pine Lake and walking trails are about 4 miles away. Cooperstown is 27 miles for the house, and is an absolutely beautiful drive. The ac is in each bedroom. There is a washing machine ( clothes need to be hung on a drying rack). There is a peacock stained glass window in the master. A propane grill, for barbecuing is on the deck I adore this cabin and location and hope that you will love it as much as I do. The whole cabin is for the guests. Guests are welcome to swim in the pond (at their own risk and no children unaccompanied by an adult) , which is by my studio and down the hill. My cabin is in the woods on about 7 acres and is on the lower half of the property. The pond is spring fed, and delightful to swim I'm. There are small bass in the pond as well. My property is in the mountains and not near any public transportation. Oneonta is the nearest town, which has restaurants and shopping stores. The major of Oneonta closed all the streets so that restaurants could provide outdoor seating for guests. Cooperstown is about a 30 minute drive through beautiful countryside. The pond is a short left walk down the main road and down the dirt road on the first left. Enjoy and please remember pond use is at your own risk.
