Important Notes & Nature Disclaimer: * The Lake: This is a natural, spring-fed lake. During dry periods or droughts, water levels may drop and expose the natural "mucky" shoreline. We cannot control these acts of nature, but the water remains 100% clean, tested weekly, and completely safe for swimming! * Septic System: We operate on a septic tank. Please flush only toilet paper. Do not put any food or grease down the drains. * Water: Our well water is perfectly safe to use, though it may appear slightly cloudy at first. * Wildlife & Geese: Local geese visit our property seasonally. We cannot control wild animals or where they choose to gather. They do leave droppings in the yard. While our housekeepers work hard to clean the property before you arrive, please look out for droppings and strictly remove your shoes before entering the house. * Maine Pests: Please keep all doors and windows closed to ensure bugs stay outside. Pro Tip for Boaters: While we provide kayaks and canoes for our quiet lake, you can rent larger pontoon or motorized fishing boats just across the street at Lakeside Lodge & Marina for use on the bigger Cobbosseecontee Lake! We highly recommend booking these in advance.
