A quaint cottage designed for short-term & long-term stays ( make inquiry for special offer for long term stay) Welcome to my cottage! Conveniently located near Zion, Bryce Canyon & the North Rim of Grand Canyon, this is the perfect stay for travelers, remote workers & those looking for long-term rental options. Complete with a Queen sized bed, bedroom nook with a Twin, full bathroom & a fully stocked kitchen, this is a convenient, affordable stay at the Utah/Arizona border. The space The 600 sq ft cottage is located at the base of red-rock canyons in a private, gated corner lot in a rural neighborhood (less than 20 houses), next door to my main home (where I live), with a private parking spot and entrance. The cottage has been thoughtfully decorated and is well-heated with space heaters/an AC wall unit. Upon entering the cottage, the entry hallway has a dresser and a cabinet available for guest storage. To the left is a studio-style bedroom with a Queen sized bed, desk to work from, and a seating area (TV available by request) High-speed internet allows for streaming, downloading, and Wifi messaging/calling. It's important to note there is NO CELL RECEPTION on site; however, you will not have issues with wifi calling/texting. From the main bedroom, there is a separate bedroom nook with a twin-sized bed and a small cabinet for storage, this is for 3rd person/child. This bedroom nook is completely separate and is a good option for guests that want to sleep in separate beds and/or as a room to keep all luggage, clothes, etc. The bedroom nook is located off the main bedroom and does not have a door, but does have a curtain for privacy. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'll need: all dishware, seasonings, coffee maker + coffee. The pantry comes stocked as well with canned goods and essentials. Appliances include: - Full-Sized Refrigerator - Microwave - Coffee Maker - Countertop Convection Oven - Countertop Electric Grill with 2 Burners There's a breakfast table in the kitchen for dining. There is also a washing machine located in the kitchen (a dryer is located outside and is available for guest use). Or, guests have the option to air dry their clothes on the clothesline outside. Full-sized bathroom with a stand-up shower. We provide all toiletries, towels, and plenty of bedding for your stay. Guest access We are located on a 1-acre lot, with 3 homes total & a large shared outdoor gravel parking area. The cottage has its own separate entrance but is in a courtyard shared with a main house where me, your host Leanna, lives along with a tiny home. The property is fenced in; the driveway gate will be closed and locked at nighttime, you will receive your own key upon check-in so that you can come and go as you wish. We are in a secure neighborhood (I've lived here for 20+ years!) so you can rest assured that you will feel safe and comfortable throughout your stay. Parking is only available inside the gate, not on the street. Other things to note -The cottage has it's own separate entrance but is in a building with another apartment. There is also a main house on the other side of the courtyard. There are 3 homes in total on one acre with shared outdoor parking areas. Please be courteous and only use your designated parking area. Gates will be closed and locked at nighttime. -There is NO CELL RECEPTION at the cottage, service is strong at the highway junction a few miles away. Once on site, the wifi is great and suitable for remote working & wifi calling. In case of emergency, you can use Leanna's landline. -If you will be arriving at night, after dark, please find your directions first, or call before you get too far. My home can be difficult to find at night, and not all GPS units understand paved vs. mud/sand/dirt roads. Once you leave the highway the cell reception drops off. -I love hosting long-term stays! We offer special pricing for bookings more than 30 days: $40/DAILY (before taxes & fees). I am also open to moving out any of my items to make room for personal belongings, if you are wanting to stay awhile, let me know. Please message me before booking for more details. -Climate: Located at an elevation of 5,000ft, the weather tends to be very mild with lots of sunshine in the spring/summer. Springtime (April-May) is beautiful with highs in the 80s. During peak summer months, July & August, temperatures can get up to 100+F so please plan accordingly. The monsoon rains throughout the fall bring the temperatures back down with the possibility of light snow in the winter months. -Popular Destinations: 20 minutes to Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, 30 minutes to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, 40 minutes to Kanab, UT, 1 hour to Zion National Park, 2 hours to Bryce Canyon National Park, Page,AZ & the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. We have a full sized grocery store, Bee's Marketplace, less than 10 minutes away. Please note: the North Rim Grand Canyon does not open until May 15th and closes Oct. 15th. It's a lovely & scenic 90 minute drive to the Park Entrance, from here. Pets: If you have pets please bring their own carrier or cage. Also please use the sheets/towels provided if the pet gets on the bed or chairs. Dogs must be on leash and supervised outside, please be responsible for their leavings. The closest Veterinary is in Kanab UT (40mins) or Hurricane, UT (30 mins) and the emergency is in St. George, UT (an hour away). Please keep this in mind when booking. Medical: There are 2 clinics nearby, 1 in Colorado City and 1 in Hildale UT. There is an urgent care in Hurricane, UT. And Intermountain Hospital in St. George UT(1 hour). Also Hospital and Emergency and Family Clinic in Kanab, UT (40 mins). I also have some medical training and physical therapy training.
