You are renting the walkout basement apartment in the back.Our home is located on the south end of the Bijou Basin. We have views you've only seen in movies. The sunrise is breathtaking. You will have a suite in the walk out basement facing east. We have chickens roaming the 5 acres, llamas in the pastures and friendly cats.. You will have a bedroom, living room, kitchenette with fridge, microwave and electric burner, full bathroom and access to our hot tub and washer/dryer. The space We live in a truly beautiful place. Therefore we are 15 miles from the closest town. We are 5 miles North of Hwy 24. Being rural cell phone service is hit or miss and the wifi is very slow. You will be unable to stream anything live. Since we are far from town I will have basic pantry items for you to use in case you forget something. We will provide a few breakfast items like bars, oatmeal and pancake mix. If the chickens are feeling gracious you may expect a fresh egg or two as well. Unplug from the hustle and bustle. Relax near the fountain or the hot tub and take in the beauty and wildlife. Deer roam throughout the property year round. Colorado Springs is at least a 30 min drive depending on where you want to go. Denver is a good 90 mins. The Calhan Paint Mines are only 20 min away in the other direction. Guest access You're accommodation is the apartment in the walkout basement. You are allowed access to the hot tub area and the backyard. These are shared spaces with us. We will have a key lock box for you. There are a few shallow steps along a lit path to the entrance, however, guests who need step free entrance may Park on the grass near patio. We may need access to the storage areas in the basement apartment occasionally. We will communicate with you to coordinate a good time to access the space. Do not cross any of the animal fencing. Do not allow anyone to climb on the rocks of the waterfall next to the patio. No smoking on the patio of any kind. Smoking area is next to the hot tub. During your stay We would love to greet you and tell you all about the local area. Most of the time we are available for questions or to start a fire in the wood stove for you. We live upstairs. We will keep out of your space unless you ask for us or there is a problem. We may need access to the space occasionally but we would coordinate with you beforehand. Other things to note No smoking, vaping, cigars, marijuana in the house, under the deck or on the patio. Designated smoking area is next to hot tub. Remove outer clothing and leave outside after smoking pot. The smell will get in the furnace system and cause me to have to leave my own home. I am allergic and asthmatic. If I wake up to smoke or pot smell or find the smell in the unit I will keep your deposit or charge $300 more Please extinguish all cigarettes or cigars fully and clean up all butts.
