The comfortable sofa converts into a sofa bed with a gel mattress for an additional guest, and the Roku TV includes Sling live TV plus access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other streaming apps using your own accounts. Curated books, soft lighting, and the open layout create a comfortable space to unwind at the end of the day. Important: If you'd like to use the sofa bed during your stay, please mention it when booking so we can prepare the bedding in advance. Foothill Setting Near Claremont Village & The Colleges Located in the peaceful Claremont foothills beneath the San Gabriel Mountains, the guesthouse offers a quiet residential setting just minutes from Claremont Village, the Claremont Colleges, local cafés, grocery stores, and nearby hiking trails. The neighborhood is known for its mature trees, historic homes, spacious lots, and relaxed small-town feel. You’ll be close to Mt. Baldy adventures and the 210 Freeway while still feeling tucked away in a calm garden retreat. Guest access Guests have access to the entire private guest house, including the patio seating area, shared pool, landscaped yard, and one gated parking space. The space is detached from the main house and located within a fenced property behind our home. Guests enter through a separate driveway and secured gate at the rear of the property for a more private arrival experience. The pool and yard are shared with the second guest suite on the property. Other things to note A few things to know before you book: • We live on the property and you may see us in the yard. Our guest-loving dog, Chico, will happily hang out with you outside — just let us know if you'd prefer he keep his distance, though as a resident he'll occasionally be in the yard during your stay. • We're on a main road leading up to Mt. Baldy in the Claremont foothills. • There is a second guesthouse on the property, separated by a fence — you'll have your own private patio and parking. • The pool is unheated and is typically warm late June through October, depending on weather. Beach towels are provided for pool use during pool season. • We're unable to accommodate children under 12, as the pool area is not fenced.
