For summer guests, please note that our cooling system is a whole house evaporative cooler which keeps the inside temperature approximately twenty degrees cooler than the outside temperature. There are four bedrooms, a large family room, kitchen, dining room, two bathrooms, a large deck and large backyard. We recently remodeled the second bathroom. The cabin is half modern cabin with a newer kitchen, bathroom and family room. The other half is an older rustic charming Twain Harte cabin. The cabin is not for someone that expects to be staying at the Hilton. There are four bedrooms. Bedroom #1 is three steps up from the main level. Access to bedroom #3 (with two single beds) is entered by going thru bedroom #2. The cabin is basically one level. There is a spacious family room that is three steps down from the main level and looks out on the rear property thru two large picture windows. There is a large deck accessible thru the family room. There are two full bathrooms (one with a shower, the second with a tub) and a laundry room. The rear yard is very large and shaded by Cedar, Pine and Dogwood Trees. We are also a five minute drive to Twain Harte Lake. The lake is approximately 15-20 minute walk. We have lake privileges which allow guest to access the lake for a daily fee There is a shuttle that goes to Dodge Ridge ski area in the winter and picks up at Twain Harte Market. The cooler will keep the house approximately fifteen to twenty degrees below the outside temperature. When operating the cooler, it is essential to leave the bedroom windows open a small amount to allow the cooler to have maximum effect.
