Work from home with high-speed satellite internet, and enjoy mountain life without the Summit County crowds. Located in the middle of Alma, CO, the highest town in N. America, you will get the small town vibe in a real mountain town any time of year. 31+ days only, non-shared, private suite, W/D, no pets. Enjoy our hotel-style suite, complete with internet connected TV, full-size refrigerator and kitchen, full bathroom, coffee maker, microwave, new queen bed and pull-out full sized sleeper sofa. We also recently added a washer & dryer, and added shelf space to accommodate longer stays. This unit is ideal for 1-2 people working from home or ski and outdoor enthusiasts here on an extended stay! New kitchen sink, faucet, and MORE! Newly installed floors, doors, trim, and picture window for your enjoyment! Enjoy Colorado Rocky Mountain high alpine living in our comfortable 475 sq. ft. open studio apartment. Guests will also have access to the wraparound deck upstairs. Enjoy the hot tub, outdoor grill, and world-class views at 10,600 ft. elevation! Be aware of how you can mitigate the effects of elevation adjustment, and be prepared before you arrive. ALL GUESTS staying from OCTOBER until APRIL MUST HAVE 4WD, AWD, and and / or traction assistance (snow tires, studs, chains, etc.) to travel these roads. This is Colorado state law, and is required for residents and visitors alike. We are right upstairs if you need anything special or have questions about the area and activities. ALTITUDE CAUTION: The house is located at 10,600 ft. elevation, and has spectacular views and mountain air! However, if you are coming from a much lower elevation (especially if you are from sea level) you will want to drink plenty of water, starting the day before your trip. I recommend that all guests research altitude sickness, and how to help prevent it. Don't spend 3 days of your vacation in bed, heed the advice and be prepared, so you can get the most out of your mountain getaway! Uber and Lyft are sometimes available, but most guest situations will require a vehicle to get around. From late October until April, guests WILL need a 4WD, AWD, or snow tires or tire chains to get around safely. This is a high alpine environment, so please make travel plans accordingly. Guest parking notes: Please do not park out front or on the neighbors' front street. The best place to park is one block behind the house on Oak St, you will see our black Ford F-150. This unit has ONE parking space only. We have been Summit & Park County locals for over 15 years, and will be glad to address your questions or concerns, and we are here to help your stay be the best it can be! We are always available to recommend activities and more...feel free to ask any time, we may have some good info!
