The Casita Poquita: Flexible, Multi-Month Stays
Our back house hideaway in North Oak Cliff offers guests the perfect place balance of amenity and efficiency. Fully renovated and carefully curated for comfort, the "Casita Poquita" is ideal for business travelers, digital nomads, and anyone looking for a flexible place between moves. Accessible to the entire Metroplex yet tucked into a quiet corner of a vibrant neighborhood, we hope you make this your home-away-from-home in Dallas. "Mi casa es su casa" -- just like the mural says! The guest house is behind the large wooden gate at the end of the driveway. Guests have full access to the driveway for parking and the secure, fully fenced yard during their stay. The living space has a work desk and chair, small couch, coffee table and TV equipped with a Roku streaming device. The strong dual-band WiFi fills the entire space -- great for working from home and streaming content. This room extends into the kitchenette area, with a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster oven and hot place (no conventional oven), plus all the plates glasses and utensils you might need. The cozy bedroom has a pocket door for extra privacy and a dedicated climate control system separate from the living space. The spacious bathroom, accessible from the bedroom, has a large walk-in shower with glass sliding doors. Guests will have full access to the back house and all storage within it. The back yard and patio area is shared with the main house on the property, which we also rent to responsible guests. The laundry room is through the back door of the main house and is shared between the two spaces (free for guests staying at least one month). We live directly behind the property and are right here to respond to your needs. You will see us doing yard work and general maintenance -- otherwise we hope to give you the level of privacy you want. We also love to get to know our guests! Anchored by the nearby Bishop Arts District, this eclectic and historic section of Dallas is where you find taco shops across from a craft brewpubs and bicycles sharing the road with pickup trucks. Our neighborhood will break the stereotypes you might associate with Dallas (gaudy homes, big box stores, plastic people). The diversity and energy here are unique to anywhere in DFW. Our pocket known as "North Cliff" is a subdivision of 1940's craftsman, tutor, and Texas ranch style homes. It's quiet and extra quaint; a family neighborhood where you wave to your neighbors and invite them onto your porch for ice tea. Super accessible to the DFW Metroplex with access easy to major interstates (I-30, I-35E), airports, and public transportation. Very ideal location for anyone visiting downtown Dallas, UT Southwestern / Parkland Medical District, and Mid-Cities (Las Colinas, Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie). Driving: - 5 mins Bishop Arts District - 12 mins to downtown Dallas - 25 mins to Arlington (Cowboys & Rangers Stadiums, Six Flags). - 20 mins to Dallas Love Field Airport - 30 mins to DFW Airport - 40 mins to downtown Fort Worth.
