Just 25 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and 30 minutes to Boone, our inviting and welcoming guest space is located on the bottom level of our split-level home nestled at the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet, low-key development! During your stay you will have your own private space (including private entrance) with access to shared spaces. Perfect for couples or solo travelers. We treat our guests like friends! The space Come relax with us! Our guest space includes a private lower-level entrance w/ 500 sq feet of guest room, kitchenette/ sitting room combo, a half bath w/ laundry and private outdoor firepit. Your cozy and spacious bedroom includes a queen-sized bed with plenty of pillows, heavy duvet to keep you snug in the winter months and a light quilt for those summer evenings. A loveseat to lounge on, dresser and closet to put your belongings in, electric fireplace to keep toasty warm, and a small bookcase with a variety of reading! If you need to unwind with some tv you will enjoy our mounted 36” Roku TV with access to streaming services (Roku, Peacock, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Tubi, and HBO Max). Free Wi-Fi is provided! We are surrounded by great restaurants, but if you would like to cook, your kitchenette has all the things you need for you basic cooking needs! Microwave, countertop convection oven, countertop stove eye, griddle, toaster, K-Cup style coffeemaker, dishes, glassware, and cooking utensils will have you set! The dorm sized mini fridge has a small freezer with ice trays! We provide our guests with an assortment of coffees, creamers, sweeteners, teas, condiment packets (mayo, ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, and jelly's/jams), and a complementary goody basket! There is a small table with seating for two and a green sitting chair right in front of the picture window for drinking your morning coffee and watching the antics of our crazy dogs (free entertainment). Your large, updated half bath/laundry room is stocked with beach towels, first aid kit, hair dryer, and laundry supplies! Don’t take home dirty clothes, do your laundry here so you can relax when you get home! Guest Freebies: We were awarded the opportunity by DOVE to provide our guests with free sample sized deodorant sprays from the Dove and Degree lines! Please take a sample to enjoy! Gather around your private firepit and roast hotdogs or make s’mores. We provide our guests with plenty of free firewood! Smoking is allowed at the firepit. Guest Access: You have a private entrance to the downstairs (minus one room, Scott’s art studio). This includes the large bedroom, kitchenette, laundry/ half bath, private firepit area, and guest backyard (this is our next project to make this space special for our guests so please pardon our landscaping construction). Our guests have their own private parking space just off our driveway (finished product will be completed in this fall). Shared Space: At this time the downstairs guest space does not have its own shower. We have a large bathroom upstairs (as seen in listing pictures) with tub shower combo and double sink for our guests. When my older kids are home the space is shared, but we truly don't find this to be intrusive and welcome guests upstairs! We are always looking to improve our guest area so if you have any suggestions (we love a fresh set of eyes) please share them with us! Guest access After booking you will be sent a message 3 days prior to your trip with check-in information. During your stay Guests will enter their space through their own private entry. We will send you an email prior to your arrival with more information. We love meeting our guests during their stay! We will also give our guests privacy as well! Other things to note A guest information book is located in your guest space that should answer any questions you may have about your space, pool info, getting around town, places to eat, food coupons, etc. We always welcome input and fresh eyes to help make suggestions so we can keep improving! We do have pets and they love having guests (they think you are here to visit them)! If you do not enjoy household pets then this accommodation may not be best suited for your visit to our area. To access the shower, you will need to navigate stairs (please see picture for reference). There is also a steep grade from the parking space to the Airbnb. Those with limited mobility may find this grade difficult to navigate. We are happy to answer any questions or address any concerns prior to booking!
