The Be Well RV Site offers the peace & quiet of a country landscape while allowing guests to enjoy the unique sights, sounds, and splendors of a working horse ranch. Guest’s RV/Camper must have enclosed toilet facilities. As such, there is no tent or car camping allowed. The entire surrounding premises of the RV site are non-smoking of any kind. As such, this location is not a good fit for people who smoke. The RV site allows guests to enjoy the unique blend of country life, while still being within 5 - 10 minutes of Kearney's restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, entertainment, fuel, etc. The ranch is easily accessible from town via paved roads, though note that the roads on the ranch leading to the bunkhouse as well as the bunkhouse parking lot are gravel. The RV site can be pet friendly with the understanding that pets must be on leash at all time and that pet waste must be promptly picked up and properly disposed of. As well, all pets must be well behaved and not have an nuisance or otherwise destructive behaviors. Guests should indicate the plan to bring a pet in the booking reservation. The location of the RV site on the ranch offers privacy and a serene, secluded location, though guests should expect the occasional passing by of ranch vehicles/machinery, ranch personnel, and horses and/or goats as a part of the daily working ranch operations. The RV site is located on an active working horse ranch allowing guests to enjoy the sights and sounds of a western style ranch amidst a lovely pastoral setting. Guests may observe the horses and goats, but feeding, petting or otherwise interacting with any of the animals in an unsupervised manner is prohibited. The RV site is located next to and shares a parking lot with the Be Well Bunkhouse, which is also available for booking on Airbnb should a group need further accommodations. Although we welcome children and infants please note that there are some unique circumstances with this location. Specifically, horses and goats travel on the road in front of the bunkhouse and there is also a seasonal water canal as well as various forms of wildlife in the area. As such, children should never be left unattended outside. There are security cameras throughout the ranch, but please note there are no cameras at the RV site to respect the privacy of our guests. Overnight horse boarding is also available for travelers. Contact us for rates and details. The ranch is within an 1/8 of a mile to the entrance of Cottonmill Lake State Park allowing guests to enjoy park access within a short walk or very short drive. The park offers hiking, biking, fishing, boating, frisbee golf, playgrounds, BBQ pits, swimming (seasonal), a nature barn (seasonal), wildlife viewing and more! The ranch is within 5 minutes of the University of Nebraska Kearney. The ranch also provides excellent access to Sandhill Crane viewing areas such as Fort Kearny (15 minutes) and Rowe Sanctuary (25 minutes). The RV site shares a parking lot with the Be Well Bunkhouse (also available for rent through AirBnB) so guests are expected to extend courtesy, quiet and respect to any neighboring RV or bunkhouse guests. RV site guests may enjoy use of a provided picnic table and bench, but are not to utilize the nearby bunkhouse deck or outdoor furniture as that is reserved for bunkhouse guests only. The horses travel loose up and down the road adjacent to the hook-up space twice a day, so guests will need to remain aware during the times of horse turn-out and bring-in. 6) Dogs may be brought, but must be: - current on vaccinations - appropriately behaved - nuisance free - promptly cleaned up after - and kept leashed or kenneled at all times 7) There are security cameras in use throughout the ranch, but please note there are no cameras near the bunkhouse or RV site to respect the privacy of our guests.
