Newly built basement apartment with plenty of light in the heart of North Portland. Only a 5 min walk to 2 grocery stores and the Interstate MAX train for easy access to anywhere in Portland. Close to Kenton, Mississippi, and Dekum neighborhoods for plenty of bars, restaurants, food carts, and more! The space 1 bedroom, 400sf apartment with open kitchen/living room. I own the house and live upstairs. The basement is well insulated for both sound and heat. While most sound is very muffled, you may hear a couple barks from my dog at the mail person or when you come or go. The bedroom is furnished with blackout curtains and a queen bed with memory foam topper and plenty of comfy blankets. There is plenty of storage space for longer stays with floor to ceiling closets in the hall. The full kitchen complete w/ coffee maker, apt size fridge and stove/oven, microwave, toaster, and various cookware, offers the option to cook to your heart's content when you need a break from all the great local restaurants. I also provide coffee from local roasters and granola bars. While the space doesn’t have its own washer/dryer, for longer stays I provide clean linens and towels every 2 weeks. There are also multiple laundromats close by. The space has electric heat and in the hot summer months stays a pleasant 70ish degrees from natural cooling. There is also a Daphne outside the living room whose flowers can be smelled with the windows open! Guest access Guests have their own entrance at the side of the house via a keypad and interior access at the base of shared stairs. I only use the stairs when using the storage side of the basement.
