Description

Includes 2 cabins: -A-frame 4bedroom/ 1 bath 1800sq ft -in-law cabin 1bedroom/1 bath 450sq ft The Yay Frame is a mid-century A-frame built on a hill overlooking the Sierra National Forest, surrounded by pine trees. It is located 12 miles from Yosemite South entrance. My home was recently remodeled and I'm constantly updating it. The cabin features new appliances, cork floors, Article couches, and a modern bathroom, all while retaining its original charm! STRICT: NO BBQ GRILL, NO DISHWASHER The space THE YAY FRAME WAS BUILT IN 1967 Some quick old home facts. The kitchen is small, there is no dishwasher, there is only one bathroom in the main house. The heating all works, but you have to follow directions to turn on some of the heaters because they are old. If you are expecting a perfect modern home, the Yay Frame might not be the home for you and that's ok. LIVING AND DINING ROOM Right upon entering the front door, you're greeted with breathtaking floor to ceiling views of the mountains, trees, and valley below. You feel as if you've entered a treehouse! Dining table is bench seating and fits up to 10 people. The original sloped wood walls create a cozy environment for lounging and enjoying the views. We also have an assortment of games available in the sideboard cabinet for all ages. Please note we are a no-fire house and the fireplace is non-functional. KITCHEN Our kitchen features brand new appliances (electric stove/oven, fridge, microwave), and all of the essentials for a home-cooked meal (pots, pans, utensils, etc). We've also provided many coffee maker options: a French press, pour-over, classic coffee maker, and a burr grinder. BATHROOM Completely remodeled modern bathroom with floor to ceiling tile and a beautiful floating vanity. Brand new bathtub/shower combination, with great water pressure. **Please note there is ONLY 1 BATHROOM in the A-frame, the other full bath is in the small cabin. BEDROOMS The bedrooms all feature a queen bed with luxury white sheets, duvets, and pillows. Each bedroom features plenty of closet space and beautiful wood ceilings. The largest bedroom on the top floor is an A-shaped room with a loft. Please note the stairs to the loft are quite steep. BOTTOM FLOOR The bottom floor has an entertainment area equipped with a new smart tv, sound system, game table and foosball table. There is also a washer and dryer for your convenience. THE SMALL CABIN The small cabin is a completely separate 450 square foot cabin with cute tiny home charm. The cabin is a has a living room, dining space, small kitchen (no oven), separate bedroom and full bathroom. OUTSIDE The yard has a small wooden teepee and plenty of space to explore. The backyard is mainly the deck, with a sectional for outdoor seating(in storage during the winter months). PETS Our home is dog friendly! We kindly request a $100 flat fee for additional cleaning. Two dogs max please. If you bring your dog, we request that you supervise them while outside - our home is in a forest and there is wildlife around. It is up to my discretion to deny a dog. Guest access You have access to the full property, including both cabins. The only area not accessible is the stand alone garage, but you can park in either driveway. Please do not ship anything to the house as the mailbox is a locked box not in front of the home. Other things to note Winter months From late November to early March there is a chance it will snow at the cabin. The roads to the cabin are plowed, but please note if there is a big enough storm chains/4 wheel drive may be required. Parking may be limited if there is a big snowstorm. Summer months The A-frame has an evaporative cooler (also known as a swamp cooler). The area is the perfect environment for this type of cooling, so it works perfectly. I have been at the cabin when it was a crazy heatwave and the cabin cooled down just fine.
