A Haven of Comfort & Inspiration: Back Inn Time

Back Inn Time B&B moved outside of St Albans to a gorgeous lot in Fairfax in 2024. Less than 10 minutes out, it feels like we're in a haven of natural inspiration, with meadows, trees, a babbling brook and lake view. Creature comforts abound--two fire pits, barbeque grill, fitness room, saltwater hot tub, pool...the same luxury linens we're famous for, and above all, the same hospitality. The space Many years ago we began this journey in downtown Saint Albans, in an old Victorian which KarenMarie lovingly restored over the years. The old manor home was delightful, and we hosted thousands upon thousands of visitors, piling on award after award. But with changing times come changing needs. KarenMarie's desire was to bring more comfort and quiet to her guests; a soothing and inspirational atmosphere where creature comforts abound and you never hear the sound of sirens; where you can look up in the night sky and see the stars rather than street lights, and; sunsets become a daily reminder of how truly fortunate we are. When KarenMarie had the opportunity to sell the old building and find a new home for an even more restful and romantic experience, she decided to transition Back Inn Time to a refuge amid trees and meadows, with plenty of room to roam in every season, yet just a few minutes drive to restaurants, shops, and more. With more space came the opportunity to add more amenities as well. Now you can enjoy the saltwater hot tub or heated inground pool, fitness room, and infrared sauna. In the main building there are two suites, The Nest (queen) and Sora's Suite (king) sure to specify which you are interested in. The kitchen and living room are shared with the occupants of the other--unless it is empty. One of the most requested amenities of the last year or two was kitchen access. KarenMarie added a kitchenette to the guest cafe in the old location, but in the new location guests have a full, dedicated kitchen for their use. There is also a living room which may be either private or shared only with one other couple or single guest. To make early and late check in easier, the new location has digitized door locks--no more worrying about keys or arriving at a specific time. There is plenty of room to roam here over almost five acres with a babbling brook and plenty of natural beauty and wildlife. You may even see deer or rabbit from your balcony as you sip your morning coffee in the sun. We are still close to the rail trails and another favorite, The Hundred Acre Wood--perfect for a shorter hike. We still use our earth friendly approach to clean without harsh chemicals and abrasive smells, and we still provide the high quality luxury bedding we have come to be known for. Our plush robes still hang in your suite, beckoning you to unwind and relax. The same excellence in hospitality that has made Back Inn Time a local legend is here at the new location in Fairfax, on a higher level.
