Mayor Smith Cottage
A charming, downtown home with local appeal. Within walking distance (less than .5 mi) of Main ST., the farmer's market, and local dining. A beloved mayor lived in this home for 24 years - prompting the name and theme for this little bungalow. This home boasts 1400 square feet, a newly renovated bathroom (Oct. 2020), two bedrooms and an office space with day bed & trundle (not pictured), fully equipped kitchen and a living room with bright, beautiful windows. This simple, yet clean and open space makes this property perfect for family members in for a holiday or the business traveler in town for appointments. Everyone can appreciate the large living space that’s perfect for work or relaxation. Enjoy a small back patio and green space complete with fire pit. When staying at the Mayor's Cottage, you'll have access to the entire primary floor of the home. The basement is currently unfinished and unoccupied. Your hosts, Daniel and Jordyne, live nearby and will be available by phone or text for any requests or concerns. We love showing off our community and making recommendations for dining and activities. The Mayors Cottage is located in the heart of one of London's older neighborhoods that is just blocks away from downtown, Main Street shopping and dinning. When you stay here, you are also just minutes away from award winning disc golf, splash pads, dog park, walking park and large playground. Secure and cozy, this downtown bungalow will be a spot you don't want to leave. This home is located five minutes from I-75 in the town of London, about halfway between Lexington, KY and Knoxville, TN. Situated in the heart of one of downtown London's neighborhoods, you're less than half a mile from downtown restaurants and a quarter of a mile from the walking and dog park. Please note, the fireplace, while lovely, is not operational. Also, please do not go downstairs as this space is not set up for guests yet.
