The Historical Magnolia Room
The Historical Magnolia Room
Description
Welcome to a beautiful, historical home situated in a quaint and quiet small town 30 miles north of Nashville. The Magnolia Room offers our guests a grand bedroom furnished with pre-civil war antiques including an impressive Queen sized, four poster bed. The Magnolia Room is a private room with its own bath which includes a clawfoot tub with a shower and many of the appointments original to the house but with all the modern amenities you would expect. NOTE: TN has a 14% tax for our space :( The space We provide everything for our guests' stay to be as comfortable as possible, similar to what you would find in a luxury hotel: shampoo, conditioner, soap, high-end linens, a Keurig coffee maker and a mini-fridge. But most of all, we offer privacy. While we are almost always on-site and just an Airbnb communication away, you will rarely see us. We offer a unique experience to stay in a truly historical venue. The Magnolia Room is located in beautiful Springfield, Tennessee. It is a destination in itself, especially for the athletically inclined. We are a few blocks from immaculately maintained public tennis courts, a yoga studio and a greenway several miles long that is perfect for the running enthusiast. We are within walking distance of two beautiful parks for long walks, trail running or just enjoying nature. If you're a cyclist, Robertson County has unparalleled roads for rides from ten miles to a hundred. We can suggest routes that will suit your every desire through the rural farmlands of Tennessee and Southern Kentucky. We think you'll agree with our town slogan: Minutes from Nashville, miles from ordinary. It is an old home which means creaky floors, a clawfoot tub that sets up higher than a modern tub and floors that may not be quite perfect in slant. We think there is a charm to an old home than makes up for the quirks. We hope you agree, but we want all of our guests to be prepared for the experience. We are fastidious with our renovations, but it is still an "old house". If you're here for a conference or need to work, we offer free wifi access and a desk in the room that will accommodate a laptop for a workspace. Check-in is no earlier than 4:00pm and check-out is 10:00am. We must insist our guests adhere to these times so that we can ensure the space remains immaculate for everyone who stays with us. We do have house rules, and we ask that you respect these for everyone's peace of mind: -You will be provided one off-street parking space. -Please note, this is a Carolina style house that requires guests to climb stairs to any entrance. It does not have railings at the stairs. The antique bed is quite high. We do not provide assistance (such as a ladder) to climb into it. -Upon check-in, you will be provided your own code to a keyless front door entry system that expires at check-out. The front door must remain closed and locked upon entry and exit. -We will do everything we can to make your stay with us extraordinary. This is a quiet, residential area, and only the guests registered with us may be on-site. -There is no smoking in the house or on the property. -We have a large dog and cat on-site, but they are not allowed in your wing of the home. We have a no-pet policy in place for guests. Our guests do not have access to a kitchen, and we do not allow cooking in the room. -Because this is a one bedroom suite, we limit occupancy to no more than two adults. Additionally, because of the antique appointments of the home, we do not allow guests under 18 years of age. -Use the provided clothes hamper for all used linens. -Quiet hours are set from 10:00pm to 7am. You may hear our dog or cat after hours as they do not understand this policy, especially during thunderstorms. Because we stay in a different area of the home, this should not be an issue. -All house rules are posted in the room. These rules are in place to ensure the quality of your visit. Finally, have fun and enjoy your stay! We call this the "Magnolia Room" because right outside your window is the grand dame of magnolias, over a hundred years old, like the house itself. We look forward to welcoming you to a charming town and a one-of-a-kind stay in an historical gem. Second NOTE: Tennessee has a 14% tax added to our Airbnb. Taxes are applied to your bill automatically through the system. PLEASE check to see what your overall cost will be prior to booking so that you can see the total cost with the tax added. The automatic charge is new as of 2021. We have no cleaning fees and no other costs other than the room fee. Part of our mission to make your stay with us extraordinary is to be sure that our pricing is transparent. If you have any questions, please reach out to us. We are here to answer any questions you might have! Guest access Your reservation includes a private entrance with a (rarely) shared reception hall off the main entrance as well as a private bed and bath. We include one off-street parking space located behind the house. The neighborhood is stunning! There are blocks and blocks of historic homes with sidewalks everywhere. We are three blocks from the town square where you will find shopping and restaurants. Please check out our "Magnolia Scout Book" for details on what you can find within walking distance. ***The reception hall is only shared during an emergency. You’ll have a private entrance, and you won’t encounter others to get to your room. We offer our guests privacy in a rare historical home that has been preserved for over a hundred years.
